There's a clear misunderstanding here, which is understandable since I never said anything to the contrary.

Straight up, I think the Phantom Train fight is a good fight and I do like it. The first time I ran O5 it was all smiles cause I was kinda giddy that we got to fight the Phantom Train and it actually wasn't a boring fight, I just feel like it missed a golden opportunity. Does the fight suck and never should have been made because it lacks a Suplex moment? No. Do I think it could've been better by throwing in some extra fan service with a Suplex moment? Absolutely.

Doomtrain is simply another name for the Phantom Train, same as Ghost Train was another name used for it (although the first time it was used was a mistranslation). Phantom/Doomtrain has been in multiple FFs.

Nah they be separate. Phantom Train is only prominent in FFVI. Other games it appears in is mere cameo of the Phantom/Ghost Train.

Doomtrain is different in both design and function.

Which is interesting since Glasya Labolas is usually used for the more powerful Hill Giants in the series. And XIV already used that faithfully.
