I'm glad.

The ability to suplex the Phantom Train was vaguely amusing at the time. Yet like so many jokes it became a dead horse that was brought back to life and beaten again and again and again.

I never found the Phantom Train iconic because of the suplex ability having a weird effect. I found it iconic because it was a bittersweet story arc in FF6 with great music and an unsettling atmosphere. I grinned like a fool when I saw the true fans of FF6 being catered to instead of the sort who want everything to be as ridiculous and contrived as Hildibrand's adventures.
