At long last, I have already set up my plates after the maint has been done. It's a sea change. My Faire Joi lost its Pastel Pink dye after I placed it in the armoire for the glamour plates and my Southern Seas Tanga is no longer Pure White. However, I now have templates for Valentione's and Starlight Celebration and my usual glamour gear remains unchanged. Took a ton of prisms but I am now set up. Also, I realized that my Cleric Set can be made into a glamour plate too. I suspect it's because I can regain this from running the antique gear dungeons and exchanging them at Mor Dhona. but since Thyrus is not eligible to be used as a glamour due to it being a relic, I am not going to queue up to add my default WHM worksuit to the 200 slots.

I'm going to stop trying to convince people of it's merits. If you "boycott" the system by not using it you're leaving money on the table. It's free storage and infinite glamouring without using prisms.

There are improvements to be made, yes, but this IS an improvement to me. See y'all in game.

Please correct me but wasn't this already the case with the original glamor system? I have all three tanks leveled to 60+ and I love the Warrior AF (Fighter Cuirass) to hell. It's always been the case that because PLD or DRK can't wear the WAR AF that when worn by PLD and DRK the item reverts to their original appearance. I do hate this because I have every job leveled to 60+, just asking how the plate system differs from the original in this case? I don't think it does?

Hey unfortunately when your items are placed into the glamour dresser/armoire CLASS RESTRICTIONS STILL APPLY. I thought these restrictions were removed once the item was placed into the dresser, but this is not the case, and this needs to change if squeenix wants to keep up with their biggest competitors such as Guild Wars 2 and World Of Warcraft (both these games have no class restrictions for glamour)

This is incorrect. On Guild Wars 2 you unlock the visuals (aka skins) of the equipments you discover along the way, but if you use Heavy armor, you can only glamour heavy armor skins on it.
And the same goes for World of Warcraft. You can't use the transmog system to make your Mail gear look like a Leather piece. So yes, both of those games do have "class" restrictions for glamour. You're just forgeting the fact Guild Wars 2 and Warcraft don't alow you to play one single character with all the classes unlocked for it.

That being said, as far as glamour goes, GW2 requires you to use Transmutation Charges, that are far from cheap (only being obtainable through heavy farming or cash shop only), and THAT is the actual glamour. What are you referring to is the Cash Shop skins that just override gear that you're using, but you have a set amount of skins available, and their pieces are not interchangeable. So in regards to those, everyone looks the same with different colors.

On the Warcraft side, you have interchangeable pieces of gear you can glamour, sure. But no dye system. And as said above, you ARE restricted by the type of gear you are using. You might be a Shaman and have access to Cloth, Leather and Mail, but you can only glamour the pieces that you are using with their respective type of armor design.

I know this Glamour dresser isn't perfect, but let's stop pretending that any other game ever created have better glamour implemention, because they all have flaws in their own way. Final Fantasy's is just a first step, and I am sure there's a lot that is going to improve.

As a reminder, regarding adding relics to glamour, just go back and purchase replicas. It's what replicas were meant for, purely glamour, and the can actually be added to the dresser.

Took me a minute to think of it; I was silly and tried to add a relic step bought from the Salvager, but no. Even easier/cheaper than that. Buy up all the replicas if you want, or just the steps you liked. They all work.

I hate to say this but ugh... they should make it like FFXI. As long as you have the job leveled, you can use that piece of glamour on another job. This is only in regards of the cross-glamouring.

You literally did not answer my question. Restrictions were in place from the beginning. PLD could not keep the WAR AF glamored onto Fending pieces. The appearance would be the original Fending piece's design. I made a thread asking if we could get DoL/DoH glamorable pieces (All Classes) similar to Chinese stores.

Biggest problem I have with this is the 200 item limit, that isn't enough for the glamour fiends out there and it's potentially going to get very very expensive without the ability to remove gear from it without destroying stuff.

Outside of that detail, I'm slowly warming up to it even if it is a rather jarring system to adapt to.
