Since you can have beautiful non-casual/non-immersion breaking cloth-like gear when you're a warrior for example in GW2 if you don't have the skins from cash shop (seriously the Nord culture plate armor for females IS NOT PLATE MAIL LOL SO MUCH CLOTH).

Thank you for correcting me, ill have to use different MMO examples such as RIFT, Blade and Soul, SWTOR and Perfect World International that do have a universal fashion wardrobe, albeit with minimal race restrictions instead of class. I've never said every mmo besides FF14 has better fashion systems. But there are some MMOs with much lower budgets that trump FF14 in this category. I hope it will get better... the budget for this game is high so it probably will

So, in theory, your SCH set and your WHM set count as two different characters that happen to be using the same gear. Lifting that restriction might require a type of coding that can be troublesome. On other games, the "glamour layer" works on a "If equiped with A, overlay as B". But on our current system that would have to be coded as "If equiped with A, overlay as B, unless class is set to X, then overlay as C". Limitations. The whole glamour problem wouldn't be that much of an issue if you could only pick one class per character, instead of having one character with 25 classes.

You literally did not answer my question. Restrictions were in place from the beginning. PLD could not keep the WAR AF glamored onto Fending pieces. The appearance would be the original Fending piece's design. I made a thread asking if we could get DoL/DoH glamorable pieces (All Classes) similar to Chinese stores.

Biggest problem I have with this is the 200 item limit, that isn't enough for the glamour fiends out there and it's potentially going to get very very expensive without the ability to remove gear from it without destroying stuff.

Outside of that detail, I'm slowly warming up to it even if it is a rather jarring system to adapt to.

I think it's fair to say it's not a complete system, but I'd rather them put it out now as an incomplete system that only solves one or two problems, than wait until it's perfect and release it at the start of 5.0. It's not as if they've made the old system harder. If anything, just getting rid of all the different categories for prisms is a welcome enough change to make everything worth it. I think in a patch or two, most things will get fixed.

Not a fan of it. 200 slots and 10 plates is not enough and not being able to put the glamour items that come from the Vet awards in there is annoying too. Its not as fluid and efficient as I hoped it would be and I learned that using the plates completely writes over the glamour you had in the first place so that is even more annoying. I hope eventually they add some things to make it better but for now its kinda annoying and I regret putting things in there.

You can put them in the armoire and add them to plates from there.

I saw that but in order to put them in the armoire they have to be 100% spirit bonded right ? each single item? Does that take a long time to do? I've never really used the armoire cuz I found it kinda confusing
