i would be happier when they continued with ignoring DRK, at least then i still had hope that we will get the needed buffs and changes somewhere in the future... but when this is the future... just no.
I would love to see the DRK buffed properly but it seems like that will not happen anytime soon, they will probably just nerf PLD and WAR to the oblivion, to match them with the DRK.
At least it looks like it, that will decrease the number of tanks playing the game, well if thats their concept, then good luck on it.

Multiple sources are reporting around the same idea of a buff for warrior. And then we have:Sat down. Plotted out every single GCD and OGCD in a in both current and 4.2 war for an entire cycle (90 sec for 4.2, 120 for current). Accounted for AAs. Accounted for enhanced infuriate. Zerk/IR buffs. 10% and 20% maims. Old potency vs new potency.
Ill probably write up a detailed post tomorrow to explain the process cuz screw that at 5am.
TLDR:
4.1 Current war Pot/GCD rotation
519.58 potency per GCD
4.2 war doing the same process
536.46 per gcd.
Net buff of 3.2%.
There are very minor factors I did not account for. For starters:
*My 4.2 rotation is not quite optimized. I ended up stuck on a heavy swing before the next IR window which breaks the combo. Also got stuck with an awkward amount of gauge so had to use 1 onslaught and still had a leftover 10 gauge. Playing with the SS amount and such will improve it. It can only go up from here.
*The 4.1 zerk/IR windows dont have crit included as I just measured pot/time, but thats a fairly simple addition i might do after some sleep, but its not going to buff an entire 2 min rotation by some ridiculous amount like 10% to upend the results.
Its a fudging buff. A small one. Just like SE said it was.
I could be a smidge off here or there, but were still in the realm of side grade territory even if I fudged something up a little. Comfortably out of sky is falling land. Sleep then double check stuff.
So this was a buff all along. However, many may still have playstyle issues and should feel free to complain about it, the main point is this is not a dps nerf that needs to be undone.His analysis is incomplete and napkin at best. He didn't construct the new rotation to math out the actual effects of all the variables involved. Current numbers from The Balance indicate a modest ~3% buff as long as you can fit 5 gcds into IR.
If anything, WARs should be complaining about joining in on the MCH Overheat memes. Missing that 5th gcd in the new IR is going to be huge dps loss.

So they making warrior easier to play and less effecient if played perfectly well.
I don't think this is what is shown. But I have not done the analysis myself so we will need to wait for someone who has to post their results for that kind of analysis, I tried some more indepth calculations enough to rule out a serious nerf. Given what people have posted, there is no reason to think this is a nerf to the top. This should be a general buff to warrior, those who were doing the correct things before should also reap benefits.
Nerf senario's would need to rely on extremely high direct crit arguments which are not likely to happen.
I'm sorry none of the tanks are happy with 4.2 but this is a drk thread. Just saying.
Yeah, I play PLD too. Just don't want it to be totally jacked
