0.5 As in less than 1% of a difference. So if you were doing 3000, you now do 3015.I'm not that good at math, and play on PS4 so don't check any kind of fflogs, but isn't .5-.6% increase in overall DPS massive? For example, if the average DRK contributes 3k, they would now be doing 4.5k? I see .5 and .6 and think 50%-60% respectively, but I think you mean 5%-6% (.05-.06%). Just trying to clear up any confusion, coz I look at these updates, and I am seeing only a very marginal DPS increase to DRK. Like, not even enough to actually look forward to.
He mentioned the extra GCDs you get in blood weapon. That looks to be in his mathBok's math is wrong. They failed to consider the Haste effect from Blood Weapon which is a damning error on their part as that is going to be one of the largest benefits from the change to delirium. All Bok focused on was the resource gain while outright ignoring the fact we have the potential to gain GCDs from Blood Weapon. It's a buff, albeit a small one, but Bok needs to redo their math before making such bold claims. Simply using the GCD delay for the Genji weapon isn't enough when Blood Weapon itself lowers our GCD, cast times, and recast times by 10%.
"We have improved DRK's usability... in being a meme" ...
In all seriousness though, multiple threads, a large consolidated feedback thread... I'm not sure what more we can do. It's all very depressing. Praise be they left NIN alone, which I main as DPS at least.
No, I was referencing Final Fantasy 11 (FFXI) where buffs to Drk were constantly counterproductive or fell horribly short to correct simple issues. All in the name of balance that SE couldn't quite define for itself. SE still has no idea what to do with Drk in a mmorpg, 16 years later. Are you talking about how PLD in Heavensward went from being the worst tank in the to the best tank in the game in Stormblood? If so then you're probably talking about how they are going to over buff DRK in 5.0 and maybe WAR...
But that may be wishful thinking... 5.0 will become the Final Fantasy 14 equivalent of World of Warcraft's Warlords of Draenor expansion... calling it right now...
Well it took a whole expansion for them to correct their mistake with BRD soooo I don't have any fiath that DRK will ever see anything valuable....the changes for 4.2 will go unnoticed lol SE I thought the launch of stormblood tanks was your biggest failure now I'm reconsidering and wonder if you even play your own game XD
Implying they even listen to anyone that isn't native to Japan...Well it took a whole expansion for them to correct their mistake with BRD soooo I don't have any fiath that DRK will ever see anything valuable....the changes for 4.2 will go unnoticed lol SE I thought the launch of stormblood tanks was your biggest failure now I'm reconsidering and wonder if you even play your own game XD
Let's be real... Square-Enix is primarily a Japanese Game Developer first, so Japan is going to be first, and everyone else second...
Also, Square-Enix still thinks that any Final Fantasy movie after Spirits Within was a huge success... If didn't work the first 3 times why the hell would it work the next hundred times?!
I mean to be fair, DRK in HW was perfect.
I am disappointed....TBN change is nice but DRK needs so much more...I will try it out not sure if i really want to continue playing....
