Allow me to direct you to unsynced content. Every dungeon in this game can be soloed. For a new player? unrealistic, but soloed regardless. why give instances the treatment and not the overworld? fates can already be soloed, normal ones. You must've been a world of fun when you discovered Sastasha.
This is an MMO, and this is open world content. The end-game of open world content. If there're 100 people there, fight gets shorter, you have less time to built up your credit. Makes sense you'd party up with other people between the shorter time and the more people to compete against. There's also absolutely zero reason to not party when you stop to think about it because you're keeping yourself out of utility and heals.
1. You're totally ignoring it but the game forces you to play in groups for the vast majority of it. Tons of content can be ran unsycned and you'd still need a party for it. So no, unsync isn't the be all end all solution to group content, especially since you can't even unsync most of it when it's relevant.
2. Because you're not influencing anyone's gaming experience when you run content solo'd. You do when you're running around in the overworld. That's the difference.
You'll notice those are the ones that give you dirt for awards, too. And funny you're hanging onto FATEs because FATEs either sync you down, or still require an army to clear even at 70 (hi Odin)fates can already be soloed, normal ones.

i mean uh.. the game also forces you to play solo for most of the MSQs instances as well. theres not even the OPTION to play with a party in those.1. And im mentioning fates yes because ixion is a fate, so a fate is the topic of discussion. but you can solo A and S arr ranks, and A ranks in HW..im sure SOME S ranks can be soloed in HW as well depending on class
Its such a silly thing to argue about anyway, both sides of the arguement have issues, its easy enough to join a party...but its also very little reason why they cant adjust how rewards are given, based on player count. the only difference is the latter option keepss the former option in tact, and its nothing but a nice QoL adjustment and the former option excludes the minority who want to not join parties

This example and the previous answer.
Yes, you can unsync dungeons, but you don't receive neither gil, exp and mob drops. A person trying to solo it (To progress, at the required level/ilvl) is punishing themselves because things would die awfully slow and there won't be any reward attached to their kills until they complete their dungeon. Loot after booses? If they get there.
Also, if you had the option of not needing a party of overworld content, then why would the party system exist anyway? People would solo the sh** out of it. You have solo content in form of instances within certain quests, but that's about it. Then you have your hunting log, some FATEs you can solo, but overall it's more beneficial for you and the party if they go and do it together. I see no reason to not do it an an MMO. I understand I won't change your mind regarding this subject, but you're thinking that people should have the option to solo group content, when they are present. I mean, you can. You want full credit, go ahead and solo it. ALONE. No one else. Then you'll get full credit. If you can't, it's because either people also found it, teamed up and burned it or the challenge goes above your level of gear/profiency with your job.
