Just done an ixion fate and got no rewards due to not being in a party(at least i believe this to be the reason) and if that is indeed the case i think thats absolute crap.

So back to my title. Why?
I was there dpsing the entire time, didnt die, why the hell are we FORCED to join parties...

because this is an MMORPG.

doesnt matter, people should be able to play the way they want to at the time. There is NO reason whatsoever that is good enough to lock people out of loot they earned just because they didnt join a party.

Literally never played another mmo that has done it before, so this needs to be changed

To be fair, this is a world boss. It's meant for several parties worth of players to fight, not individuals. I have a couple questions - how long were you a part of the fight? How much damage did you actually do to it?

if you had read my original post it stated i was there the entire time, i didnt do any less dps than i have done before when i was in a party, as a matter of fact i have afked in a party after hitting it ONCE, yet i was rewarded, how is it fair to now, not get anything?

Because a party's contributions are greater than an individual's. In a party, you're rewarded as a party. On your own, proportionally, you're contributing less.

I did read your original post. I just needed clarification. As for your answer, I know a few reports were submitted a while back because there had been some players who weren't rewarded even though they were actively participating the entire time. Maybe try submitting a bug report. I'll look online for some answers too...it does seem odd. What was your rating? Bronze, silver, or gold?

You make no sense.
The party, may contribute more as a whole, however, are STILL given 8x the reward.

That's just how the system was designed, every individual person will theoretically get x8 contribution just by being in a full party, everything your party members do will count towards your contribution, everything you do will count towards theirs. You likely saw a torrent of people asking for invite in shout chat, just ask as well and you will get full contribution, you don't even have to talk to your party.

Hunts work the same way.
