Hmm the HW Hildi story comes to mind for some reason. Gigi says hi.

It's fiction, not RL, they can come up with whatever they want for whatever race they want to bring in. Looks wise they could make'em look like anything as well and "gear design being a pain" won't be anymore of an issue than it is currently for any race. If it's worse, that's on SE for making it that way to satisfy their own masochistic tendencies.

I wonder if the robots will be able to cast magick? Since robots do not have Aether, unless they develop some kind of tech that allows them to use magick.
