Ironically they could broke the double ranged meta by making so that LB gaining becomes extremely nerfed is you bring them, but I think they won't do it since when they tried that for triple melee comp the backlash was real

like the idea of storing/stacking procs (max 3 each, fire and thunder, ..and get rid of scathe procs).., woukd be nice QoL
@ magic vun, would prefer if T3 dots gave the magic vun instead of B4.., so if you get a Tproc, you could throw it on another add fast if wanted and make it magic vulnerable... AND we wouldn't have a totally new timer to glue our eyes on, the T3 dot timer=magic vun timer, instead of adding another magic vun timer...
(the only other "new" timer I'd like, which isnt reallt new, is one that counts down the Foul, till its ready in seconds..)
They did a change before Midas to make triple melee and triple ranged to give Limit Break penalty and that made people mad enough already, which ended being removed and then reimplemented and the current penalties we have today. While I can see this being a decent counter to double ranged, people will be mad.
Yes, was saying that while it could be the fastest solution without removing nuances to the game, ppl would prefer disembowel to be gone than that (although the result would be the same lol)
@shiroe the reason why B4 is a better candidate is because B4 needs some love while T3 is already fine as it is
agree, B4 is a bit broken/annoyimg, but would rather have it fix in other means
Honestly, Blizzard IV works a lot better in our rotations than it used to. You have to remember, Heavensward actively hemorrhaged the duration of Enochian, forcing our rotation to be staggered at the worst possible times just to keep up Enochian whilst in Stormblood, the only necessity to get back to causing big booms is to say "eeeeeeh. Just Transpose and Blizzard IV to make up for any lost Umbral Hearts. No biggy." Seriously, attempting Everweep (Neverreap) was nigh impossible for a Black Mage back in 3.x due to how stringent our rotation gets to maintain our power. I mean, there's some who can do it, but it's still not a very... enjoyable experience.
Meanwhile, the comments about SMN often being stronger than BLM are valid, and honestly, I don't think it'd be a bad idea to simply return the base potency of Fire IV to 280 instead of 260. It'd be a simple enough change, and would continue to maintain the pure damage identity that Black Mage has followed since 2.x.
Having to transpose is never "no biggie" it's a huge dps loss and on top of it it makes me feel bad and like I messed up everytime I am forced to do it. HW rotation was honestly much more fun to me. I wish we could have that back instead of those clunky umbral hearts. And I had np maintaining enochian through Neverreap, but if I manage to keep it up through Ala Mhigo's first boss I can count myself lucky.
Tbh never had troubles with the scorpion, second boss imho is more annoying, that aside trasponse could work better idd
Yeah B4 spot is so good that the biggest reasons we cast it are so our MP ticks don't get screwed up and we have time to cast Fire IVs while Foul charge instead of being "wow I really want the rewards from B4". Great spot for an ability to be: patch up some of the job's issues.
The DPS loss between dropping and transpose is proportional to the amount of Foul timer you lose. It never feels good to transpose but it feels worse to lose 10+ seconds of a foul timer.Having to transpose is never "no biggie" it's a huge dps loss and on top of it it makes me feel bad and like I messed up everytime I am forced to do it.
