In Regard to Housing in Patch 4.1

This is why its such an obvious problem. Players have suggested MANY different solutions, all of which would be much more satisfying than the current system. If players were posting ideas only to have them immediately shot down by many others or holes easily poked that usually means the problem isn't a very urgent one or a proper solution is very hard to come by. This problem has many, many solutions and they usually revolve around instancing.

You do know that selling houses is against the ToS? So kinda implying that people can get them if they have enough gil (thus buying from others) means that people should go against the rules of the game to get something. Also since Gil itself has no real meaning in this game other than for glamour and housing I am quite sure that we would still not have enough houses even if they would cost that much.

I completely agree with this. The apartments should allow for like another room at least because if you think about it it could solve some issues with the housing as it is right there but still we should be allowed to grant permissions to friends or even an FC since a lot of FCs don't have housing right now because of how things are set up currently.

I actually rather like the apartment I've managed to put together in that small space.
I wouldn't mind more, but I'm happy with what I've got....


Except for gardening.
I can't crossbreed anything...

And, when interacting with my pots, I'm restricted to the default 'use item' animation, I don't get the nifty animations from gardening in a 'real plot'

No watering can animation, no weeding animation, etc...

SE should just release a oblong flower pot that would allow cross-breeding. It shouldn't have as many slots as an actual garden plot, but it'd be better than nothing for the ones without a house.

We’ve also received considerable feedback as to how they should be added, and we will be making an announcement outlining the number of new wards and how they will be sold.

'The solution should be simple enough. beyond getting more plots and wards .. make private housing sharable and usable between all characters on an account on the same server
thus making it so players cannot buy multiple privates one per alt character as it is now.
existing accounts that have multiple houses, with 4.2 would have to choose their primary private residence and choose which ones they would loose at login
( demolish timer would start giving them sometime to move out after which they would get a refund for plot and plot would be vacant.)

this would help mitigate situations where players pretty much own a whole section of an ward,,, and make a more fair housing policy curbing housing herders.

Can you show me where in TOS it stated you are not allowed to resell a house?
All I can recall is Yoshida saying flipping for huge profits is something they don't stand behind. (E3 interview 2016 i believe)

It makes me laugh when people think that those who got a house are hackers or rmt buyers or reselling lords. Yeah, I’m sure that’s the type of people who bought it... definitely not legit players that got lucky in queues. Whatever helps fuel the bitterness I guess.

I talked to a GM recently and they stated they don't take issue with anyone selling their house or their fc, but they DO take issue with someone buying a plot to resell it. I don't have a screenshot unfortunately as I was dead tired and only thought to do so after swapping characters, but of course the convo was gone by then. I was happy to get a non-canned response, but even so the house flipper continues on (and got a nice plot 30 for himself from another flipper) so even speaking to someone ended with as meaningful a result as the canned responses.

Seems to me its still a thin line. What if A (seller) bought a plot, build a house then its OK? vs A buy a plot and never build a house and just resell a empty plot?

I only know what they said. Their actions against someone that's flipped probably more than a couple wards worth of houses while constantly being reported tells me either they don't care at all or they only give the Japan region employees the authority/tools to deal with these issues.
