I would give anything in the world to see my Miqo'te wearing this. <333

I don't see it happening. Glam is a major reason people will Fantasia and SE has no reason to cull one of the biggest Mog Station earners. Similar to changing eye colour, etc.
On that note, as much as I like other race's Hempen, I don't want it to change. Each race should have a selection of unique glam options and this should only increase, not the opposite. Personally, given the overwhelming glut of miqo'te and au ra in this game, it's nice to have glamour options that are a little more unique/un-seen.
You have enough options for running around essentially naked. In fact, with Taffeta Shawl, you're already glammed with one right now.
Let Highlander have their unique thing which is designed around the fact they actually have breasts.
they already said that they will bring it race unlock in a future patch so we will get it.
They said they would look at it. They never promised to do it. Provide a link to the statement please where they said they were working on it. And you've made your views pretty clear with reference to wanting to wear the Highlander top/straps on your Miqo'te. It's pretty transparent why you'd like to see that unlocked. I sincerely hope it never happens.
Who cares if someone wants it so they can hooch it up some more? I personally find the highlander hempen hideous, but who honestly cares what other people use it for? There is no reason why underwear should be viewed as a racial piece of clothing.
We have somehow managed to get our hands on native-american styled garb, plenty of 'far-eastern' outfits and some Victorian (?) style dresses, yet somehow the people of Eorzea just can't bring themselves to copy the underwear style of another race? This game is all about fan service. Stop trying to hide behind lore reasons, as that went out the window ages ago.
I'm not hiding behind anything. I strongly believe that there should be difference between the races and that includes some specific clothing that identifies them such as the hempen set. There are some pretty classic differences there which I might add I enjoy tremendously with my alts. I'm all for glamour and the more the better but I'm also in favor of race specific clothing that make each race special. I'd like to see more of it, not less.
And it didn't go out my window by the way.

I can understand having a personal desire to see race locked clothes, but there is really no valid excuse to keep them race locked outside of the devs not wanting to put in the effort. If they do get unlocked, there is no reason why you would have to start using them on your characters, but it would open up a lot of glamour opportunities for others. Is a miqo wearing hyur undies any worse than that bikini tank we have all run into during dungeon runs?I'm not hiding behind anything. Race specific clothing in most games is fine. Almost everyone has alts to play other classes or even just for other races, so they don't miss out on anything.
Race specific clothing in a game built around having one character is not. While I'm sure there's plenty of people who do have alts, I'm willing to bet the majority do not. Therefore, they lose a lot of creative freedom in not having access to other races' hempen sets...ever.
The starting gear being race locked is fine - it's that race's "cultural" gear - but not being able to wear the Elezen or Roe top just because I'm an Au Ra is downright stupid. They're just simple tops and bottoms, there is nothing racially specific attached to them besides being a style that fits that race's sterotypical look. If I want my Au Ra to look elegant in the pretty Elezen hempen set instead of wearing a cutesy PJ babydoll because it fits her as a character better, what logical reason is there that I can't?
Suddenly everyone would be wearing them - what's wrong with that? Sure, we all know there will be catgirls in the Highlander hempen top EVERYWHERE for the first month of them being unlocked, but having the option of wearing it or the babydoll or the halter creates more diversity imo. I'd rather see a catgirl in Highlander panties here and there rather than every single catgirl only having a halter top to choose from...

There is no apostrophe in Au Ra.
Stop adding one three years later.

Explain to me how these two outfits identify us as our respective races? If my friend buys lace panties while I buy silk, are we identifying as different races or simply showcasing a preference either of us could wear? That's the difference you are attempting to argue and why it's so absurd.
