I'm for a compromise:

We lock all cosmetic gear for those accounts whose players would rather have gear locked and unlock them for all the accounts whose players would rather have it unlocked. We can use the agree/disagreement in this thread to determine who's in which camp.

Personally, I'd rather have clothes unlocked unless they require race specific body parts to function and the only kind of racial armor I could think of in that regard with our humanized races would be tail ornaments/armor, as those require a tail that many races do not have. But even those could be shared between Au Ra and Miqo'te.

I would love the highlander top lol, as a female in rl at least I could wear that in Eorzea than running round the supermarket in rl without getting arrested :P

There are as others have said other NPC's wearing the different hempen gear it would really open up a few glams for people.

Highlander's hempen is actually pretty low on my personal list.

I like Elezen and Au Ra -hempen camise/pantalette variants. And Midlander/Viera -shared top is nice, along with Miqo'te.

If you go to the teatral airship for the raid storyline, you will se a Hyur using a hempem of other races. I'll try to get a screenshot.

I don't understand why people want those sets locked. Is that wrong for people use clothes of others cultures?

I will always upvote this when the topic comes up. The miqo hempen top is one of my favorite pieces, and I'm always bummed that I can't use it when I fantasia.

The other pieces would be fun to play with as well. This game is restrictive enough already with glamours, may as well free the undies!
