Inventory issues still exist. Why keep adding gear to the game and not room? Glam log

No, it is a crazy cash grab exploitation that should not be in this game, why do you blindly accept how things are? Not even F2P games RENT out inventory space, this is crazy for a sub model, why do they even have this system and why is it called a "privlage"?

at the VERY LEAST we should get an extra free retainer per expansion (Comment based on how things are currently, if they can manage to let the future be passable on 2 then this can be ignored) with the way they add items, because the TOP HOUSING items of 4.1 STILL HEAVILY USE 2.0 "rare" mats!!! they do not let anything go out of date. It is mind boggling to me how endgame crafting expands though 3 different expansions, that is a lot of items that does not need to be.

The last F2P game I played, you only had an inventory of 15 slots and a bank of 20? Shared bank of 10. With premium, all slots were doubled. 30 inventory, 40 bank, 20 shared. More slots had to be bought in increments of 5 I believe for $3 each That game was DC Universe Online but I quit that back in late 2014. For FFXIV

Here I get to have 140 inventory, 350 retainer slots, 40 potential slots via sale slots, 150 FC chest slots, 520 armor slots and all for no extra fees. Multiply that 140 and 520 by 8 because of alts. Then there are the mail slots!

A glamour log would address any and all of my inventory woes. I change outfits often and have quite a few I am reluctant to part with. Several of the things eating up my inventory are glams I can't get again easily if at all. I'll admit I keep tier V and VI materia and certain crafting mats in stock (but its mostly current xpac mats, not older stuff unless its used in current crafting like say cobalt ore), but the primary thing eating my inventory are glams. A glam log that lets me ditch all that stuff would open up so much inventory and no more inventory would be eaten up by glams in the future.

Hmm, from what I can gather the people here are either stating that there is isn't enough inventory space in the game or you can omnicraft successfully and buy all the housing wards by only using an amount of slots you can count with your fingers. Pretty obvious that inventory has never been a server issue at any given point given how spending extra on retainers magically makes the server issue go away. Same crap, different hour of the same day.

To condescendingly (#transparency) add to the topic; glamor logs is unpossible, I agree fully with this statement. You could never treat gear like Orchestron Rolls and add them to a sub menu so you could go to some arbitrary spot that isn't a jukebox and apply them. Because using a jukebox to apply glamors would be weird.

Number of slots does not tell me anything, it is likely that game has more room then this one, lacking all the inventory bloat this game presents. WoW is the same way.

Because of what I said, it is right in the quote, there is plenty of crafters, they far out number the active crafters here as well, where onmi crafters do not even use it much. (well also depends on how you define omicrafter as well, as there was a LOT of inactive ones during late HW that did not use it, much more then when 3.4 was new) You should not be calling me that with the first post you presented to me, as that word applies to you more then me.

Also all the hardcore crafters were pure 70 within about five days how come you are not? You did not answer if it was late HW or where you became an omnicrafter during HW, that also matters. Casual crafters can be all 70 by now, so if you say inventory is not a problem for you, and you are behind casual crafters, I question how much you craft.

How come you are only after me saying there is inventory problems? that is targeting/ harassment/ belittling me. You need to understand, I do not like being told I need better inventory management by someone that basically does not play a lot or just started who does not craft. It would be no different then someone has not stepped in savage giving word first groups advice. Also that kind of thing is mocked on these boards as well when someone calls X easy, people look up FFlogs/achievements/etc and call them out on not having experience, this is no different.

If you are going to call me out like you did, I want to see if you can present proof to your big talk, and so far you got none. Do you have a house? a personal FC on an alt? cap gil on retainers? How much do you craft? Build and manage your own airships of your personal fc? What do you do with it?

Same and that is the point of this, and SE keeps saying server limitations and that they can't do it, so at least help us out in other areas? The currency update is a start but not enough on its own.

Problem solved, Sell stuff, Turn stuff in, Craft and sell it. Stop Hording items you think you may use at some distant point.
I do agree there are still items that could be added to currency tab.
And a tackle box is much needed.

But... it doesn't? I don't know why people always parrot this nonsense because it's not much of an argument. Charging for a services is a common way to limit how many people use it, which is an exceedingly useful tactic when your service can only provide for so many customers at a time.

Fewer players with extra retainers directly translates to less data transfer, which is one source of server stress. Considering how the servers have performed in the past, it's not too much of a stretch to assume the servers would display more issues if everyone received another extra retainer right now. Charging for the retainers is an immediate guarantee that most of your customers won't have extra and is a good way to relieve stress until you can figure out how to improve performance without outright refusing extra space.

It's common practice used by many a business that provides a limited service, but nah. In this case it's clearly SE reaching for some kind of shameless cash grab. SE isn't perfect, but it's tiresome to watch people eschew common sense day in and day out just because they want to be upset about something.

Um, you drop the gear that's easier to get not harder, unless you are saying that all 35 slots of your armoury chest have rare items that are hard to regain? Otherwise you created a nonsensical hyperbole.

How do you explain dyes that aren't easy to get then? Most of my stuff is dyed Jet Black which goes for about 1m a pop on my server.
