Inventory issues still exist. Why keep adding gear to the game and not room? Glam log

I agree we do not have enough space.
I mostly think it's because of glamours.
Some of it is item bloat but the only crafting I see with a huge problem is culinarian. More currencies could be swapped to the wallet as well : boss tokens and such.
howbout we keep "my characters blah blah" and "your characters blah blah" out of it?

lol there isnt enough room to horde all the gear, biggest things are the deep weapons ( i like them and used them for glam before) and most of the poetic gear for mix and matching. I have 1 retainer that is my main glam gear, ones I use the most and where I put my rare dye base in, and I have another that has 60-70 gear (you know those glam sets from the 63 DF? Those are in here) that I like and plan to to use on my jobs, Ofc 175 spots is not enough to "horde" all 60-70 gear , most of it is sealed once I replace it though leveling. I only keep some big stepping stone gear sort of speak, like the 65 stuff and the 63 glam gear, rest is turned into seals. So 2 retainers have some space, this one I am talking about and the currency one (due to the currency tab) but I was hoping for more currency to go in it.....


(Keep in mind I am 60-70 with all my jobs so saving some gear for jobs I plan to level next makes sense since I am going to use it) Also I save no 69 gear, there is no point in that since you get 70 so quickly, so all that gets sealed (please dont assume anything) Basically that retainer is 63 and 65 gear, little of anything else, cept some weapons. Once all jobs are 70 that retainer is def getting cleaned out, while keeping the 63 stuff ofc.

I am an omnicrafter myself, I craft on a daily basis. I have 3 dedicated specialist characters at level 70 except GSM and CUL for now on the third alt. (The main character has full LV70's for DOTH and DOTL) The first one for BSM, ARM and CRP, the second for WVR, LTW and ALC, the third GSM, CUL and an empty specialist slot for now. I can happily say I have a lot of space on my retainers with fully crafted items and base materials with multiple stacks of certain items such as the sands and ores for example, I have 8 retainers on each of these characters and I am big on glamour myself so store a whole ton of sets and get by just fine, including things that don't fit inside the Armoire such as promotional gear or the dungeon dropped gear. I wonder to myself just how many sets of glamour you have, especially given that we can put quite a few of the sets in the Armoire o_o.
I personally feel that 8 retainers is an incredible amount of breathing room and I myself love to hoard things :-P

You have 3 characters times 8 retainers each? ofc you don't have to worry about room... not everyone can tolerate doing that dreaded MSQ 3 times.

So that is the requirement to be functional now? (to dev team of FFXIV) do you see this as an issue yet?

I have 3 that are glamour filled. Most of it is the new artifact gear, quest gear(like the Sable Death Mask, Head Bandage, etc.), and the Garo gear...yes, ALL of the Garo gear directly from the PVP vender. The rest of the glamour gear is stuff that took me many runs to get, or cost a fair bit on the MB at the time of purchase(haven't looked at some of it to determine if the price has gone down or not).

So, for me, a lot of it is stuff that was a pain to get and I don't want to have to grind out whatever(be it a currency or a dungeon) to get it again. One retainer is 85% full on dyes AND materia...but I've been selling the materia fairly frequently too. Not to mention the Gazelleskin map that each of them holds too.

Uh...you can repurchase those items as long as you have gotten the achievement or completed the quest line. (minus the garo accessories, but you can just hold onto one set since they all look the same and are "all classes")

Go check the calamity salvager...because you are wasting a lot of space on things you can simply rebuy with moderate gil if you wish to glam it again.

Yeah if you never knew about it there is probably a lot of things you can toss to clear space.

Sable Death Mask for instance only costs 100gil to rebuy if you want it later. 100g definitely worth clearing up a space.

Yes as Miste says, every single item gotten from a quest can be bought back from the calamity salvager so if you're not using one of those, scrap it. No reason to keep it. This also goes to all achievement rewards as well. Including GARO. For GARO you will be able to repurchase a set as long as you got the achievement for it.
