    I cant help but think that the heavy thrust changes will be a hidden nerf to offset stacks going down to 3.

    They are going to give our normal attacks potency buffs to offset not re applying heavy thrust. Hopefully it's a dps gain all around but now since we will be able to enter LotD far quicker and use nastrond more in a fight, that alone is more dps to look forward to.

    Say the nerf HT from 15% -> 10%, i'd be very surprised if they added 5% potency back on everything, which includes off GCDs. When SE nerfs stuff they always do so in a way where it seems less noticeable.

    3 eyes lotd would mean (roughly) entering lotd once every minute, so that'd align better with trick attack and other 2-3 min cd raid buffs. The only issue I can think of is geirskogul's 35s cd, so we "shift" 10s slower every lotd, and will inevitably misalign lotd with trick attack and other buffs assuming 100% uptime.

    Hi all,

    1st time poster. Just got into the game after playing WoW since Beta launch, have a few questions regarding materia.

    1. Are there hard or soft caps we are shooting for with Direct Hit; if not, do I just meld all direct hit unless the gear cannot benefit from it?

    2. I have seen several versions of stat weights in my research. On items not receiving DH, do I favor CH or Det?

    3. Assuming I'm double weaving correctly, do I prioritize SS up to the 512-550 threshold before focusing on my others like DH, CH and Det?

    Thanks for any help you can give. Transitioning has been a pain, bit these are my last few things to iron out.

    I did some rough napkin math on it today, under most circumstances you're not going to see more than a 2 potency/sec increase from the change as you're going to be stuck on a pretty strict limit of 1 lotd every 70 secs. there are off course encounter length cutoffs that might boost it a bit, but unless an encounter/phase is sub 60 seconds or in excess of 8 and a half minutes you're not gonna see much higher than that.

    So after reading some BiS threads I saw that the last allagan gloves may take over the genji due to the SS to keep the rotation intact and not feel sluggish. Still on the fence of swapping the lost allagan pants for the genji for the SS too since a GCD of 2.48 seems so slow
