Had to take some time off 4.3 and im just now trying to prog 08s. As such, Ive only recently finally gotten my full 370 gear set, and im wondering which variant would be the better choice at this stage.

This variant breaks into 2100 crit space while keeping det around 1500

While this variant keeps me at 2000 crit, but direct and det both break 1600

Since I lack the 08s spear for the best stat weight, which variant is best at this stage? The higher crit? Thanks in advance!

In my opinion, the difference is rather minimal. You either lose about 100 DH to gain 100 crit, or the other way around.

According to Nemekh's spreadsheet about stat tiers
At 2000 crit, gaining 100 crit translates into +0.71% damage.
At 1500 DH, gaining 100 DHit translates into +0.65% damage.

You're potentially losing 0.06% damage multiplier before raid buffs. If you're doing around 6k DPS right now, you'd gain 3.6 DPS by going the crit way.
So... Pick whatever floats your boat /the cheapest / easiest to get, you won't see the difference anyway.
