You people going on calling those who disagree with this monsters who lack compassion for not agreeing with you (while at the same time trying to speak for other people) are really annoying.

Sure. Go ahead and bend over backwards to try and accommodate people that honestly don't need it, but you really need to stop with implying those of us who don't are horrible, evil monsters.

On a somewhat-related note, I love this game, but I want to KEEP it separated from real life. That's the reason I even play it in the first place. A few hurricanes is not the world-ending scenario you are trying to make it out to be, and there is literally no reason to delay auto-demolish.

Hell, do ANY of you even know someone who's slated to lose their house due to being unable to get online? I would bet dollars to pennies that you don't.

Whoa, easy there dude. Eating is different from losing one virtual house. Can you live if you don't eat? Prob no. Will you die if you lose ingame house in rl? Positively no. You lose your ingame house and suddenly you can't enjoy this game anymore? Are you enjoying the houses or other in game activities? Can't enjoy this game? Find another thing that you enjoy. It's just a game, take it easy, the world will not end even if all the houses get wrecked at next calamity by the time the game ends its service.

It was a hyperbolic to get a point across, why get invested in anything if it will just end is your argument. Because we pass our time the way we want to.
Yes this game will end, but this isn't a reason NOT to enjoy all it has and the services and experiences it offers are important to some people.

NO this isn't super important to real life. You keep saying that. I never said anyone was going to die or anyones world was going to end. I said it would be nice if this happens. It would make peoples days a little nicer if their stuff was still there when they finally got some time to get back to their favorite game. Its a little change and if it doesn't matter to you so much why even take an opposing viewpoint? You've even said you quit the game. Said you just come back for the forums.. it seems you just come back to be negative and tell others how they should think the game is worthless.

literally: it would be nice is a reason. perhaps not a super solid reason. but it is a reason.


I personally know one person in texas who has flood damage and may or may not have time to get back online. They're dealing with their real problems right now and I'll probably offer to help if it goes on farther than 30 days. I also have 2 guildies who have houses who we haven't seen online since parts of florida lost power. No idea if they're OK. I hope they are.

no the world will not end. In half a year nobody will even remember this thread. Nobody said the world was ending. The naysayers keep saying that but nobody who wants this done has said it.
