[Request] Please Suspend Housing Demolition for NA

Easiest solution: your demolition timer only starts after your subscription ends. So the people who suddenly became preoccupied would know exactly when and how long they have before demolish. And generally if we have a subscription up we'll probably continue to have it up for some time. This provides leeway for people who actually need it. I'm not even asking SE to give extra subscription compensation time to people because they can't play the game. I'm just saying, if they're still paying ... you don't want to give them a reason to stop, eh. Please consider adding this rule and leeway for all future demolitions.

Shit happens yes. Why not just go on with your life? No sane person will worry about their virtual houses when they are struck by disaster. Ingame houses are just bunch of pixels. Why bother? Real life is more important. And one thing to note, I don't own a house and not planning to get one, I'm just not overly attached to this game. Houses, glamours? Not interested. I'm just confused people make big deal of virtual houses.

Apparently Yoshi P felt that the JP player base would which is why it was suspended before for catastrophic events.

I'll say it for the .. 5th time this thread, its NOT about it being important, it's a little gesture to do SOMETHING for those affected. Nobody who's been heavily affected by these storms or the fire cares right now if their virtual properties are down. I'm betting it's the last thing on their minds. But when they come back in a month, maybe 2, wouldn't it be nice if their stuff was as they left it so at least something they enjoy didn't get wrecked?

Why do westerners think that anyone who isn't in a first world country is probably struggling to find food? What arrogance. I've been through a war, and I still played games.

Again, who decides when a distaster is big enough for a demo timer pause, and when it's not? A gesture is nice. But if they do one gesture, then everyone who have any hardships could expect that kind of gesture. Will they get it? Records say no. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if the timers did stop for NA players, as Japan loves USA. On the other hand, if something happens somewhere else, I wouldn't bet on anything of the sort to happen. I may come off as salty or even cynical, but I'm speaking from experience. And records do show that kind of attitude towards the rest of the world. Now, imagine if the hurricane missed USA, but still wrecked the Carribbean. Would this thread exist? Of course not. Because people in those places don't have a sense of entitlement, as they're used to big countries not really caring about them. Heck, your own Puerto Rico got slammed last week and it took you guys until the hurricane reached Florida to start this thread. FYI, Puerto Rico is USA. So yeah, doubt there would be a thread if it was only Puerto Rico.

Do you live in the middle east? I don't. I hope I NEVER know what it's like. But what I have to go on are stories from my friends in the military and those who do contract work in those countries. They tell me it's a daily struggle to just get by for many locals. You know what I'm almost never going to have to worry about? Getting murdered for my religious beliefs or my sexual orientation. I have so many first world problems and none of them matter. All I have to go on is 2nd hand stories so I apologize if I offended someone who's actually been in a war. It's not arrogance, it's the fortune of not knowing. Have a little understanding on both sides. Sounds like you have some chips on your shoulder about being left out. I don't feel entitled. Once again I don't expect ANYTHING to happen. But would it not be nice if we could do something? This is a request. Not a demand or a whine. A request. I don't think we deserve this any more than any other group, but hey, why not ask? You need to ask for things to happen. To expect them to just happen because you want them to happen and then act "salty" when other people even ask for them is entitlement.

You lose your ingame house and suddenly you can't enjoy this game anymore? Are you enjoying the houses or other in game activities? Can't enjoy this game? Find another thing that you enjoy. It's just a game, take it easy, the world will not end even if all the houses get wrecked at next calamity by the time the game ends its service.

Dont worry about it Sarteck. I think some people have a hard time seeing ingame and IRL as 2 different things.

The only reason this was done for Japan is that this is a Japanese company and most of the workers couldn't get to work for several reason such as helping others, being injured themselves, etc. I don't support putting off Shirogane and while suspending demo for a bit would be nice i doubt it will happen. Disasters happen all over the world not just her in the usa. It's hardly fair to give us what others don't get.

NO this isn't super important to real life. You keep saying that. I never said anyone was going to die or anyones world was going to end. I said it would be nice if this happens. I personally know one person in texas who has flood damage and may or may not have time to get back online. They're dealing with their real problems right now and I'll probably offer to help if it goes on farther than 30 days. I also have 2 guildies who have houses who we haven't seen online since parts of florida lost power. No idea if they're OK. I hope they are.
