Ok this is getting silly, the issue isn't getting better for me it's in fact getting worse. Is official response ever going to happen or are people on the east coast just screwed.

So far, it seems there's an issue with specific node jumps which are adding 70ms avg for most of the players being routed through East US.

I should have checked to see if this thread actually had recent responses before making my own...seen here - http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...sues-for-weeks
As you can see I too am starting to hit the bad spots around the Ashburn, VA hops.
Is anyone using WinMTR besides me? I can confirm the bad latency as is, but is anyone else getting such insane packet loss on top of latency?

It has definitely gotten worse recently, and I'm not even on east coast. Some hops showing bad latency and packet loss, all of them on NTT's own network, the provider SE is using.

I live close to the datacenter and I'm getting >130ms during peak evening hours. This is coupled with packet loss from the NTT hops and lag spikes in game.

NTT's network is HOSED. SE, FIX IT. If I can get a 30ms ping by using other services like WTFast and Mudfish then that's what your proprietary network you signed up with when you moved your datacenters should be able to handle as well.

Yup, it seems NTT nodes are pretty screwed up. Is SE aware of this situation? San José, New York, Virginia, Sacramento. All NTTs. The ones that aren't, are showing optimal low numbers.
Edit: Wording.
The routing to califonia is just beyond awful, they should have moved them to Chicago, best structure all of the US, low ping for everyone, but they wanted to save money.
