Hmmm i'm 4 years in and I can't work out what is boring about this game...
I don't think this game is for you.
I just realized this thread is 4 years old. This needs locking.
How did you managed to bump this thread Maero? And why?
I came from Gw too and I feel the exact opposite way. After playing gw1 for years I was severely disappointed by 2, very boring, once you hit lvl cap there\\'s nothing to do. There are 0 quests in the whole game and noone is talking. There\\'s no builds on gw2, skillset is defined by what weapons you use.4. There little community here. In GW2, people go out of their way to revive you/help you out. If you need info, people give it to you,or the wiki has it. The ffxiv wiki lacks a lot of info.
5. The gameplays static. There\\\\\\'s no builds or anything. Every class has the same set of skills.
So I don\\'t see how you\\'d like gw2 but not ffxiv. If you were comparing to gw1, yes, I\\'d agree.
Btw, people in XIV are friendly, try asking in shout or nn for a raise. Some will even teleport in just to raise you, there\\'s no more going out of their way to help than that.
Nothing will last long time in a game like this. I mean it surely depends, potd is good for leveling but that's the main thing people use it for these days. For fun, that's a very objective thing, many consider crafting fun for example and some doesn't like it. It's hard to hit a whole audience in a MMO. I think some dungeons etc are fun the first few times, but they are scripted so it won't be as fun when you done the same grind for ages. Well that's how I feel, I'm sure some here on the forum loves to do the same dungeon over 300 times.

Since they open two new servers in Chaos, I feel like something is missing, Cerberus is pretty too quiet. It is not the game that is boring than the community who sounds a bit off. But maybe a lot of players are just gone to Discord.

It is very boring. Weekly raid, weekly tome, done. Currently on hiatus.

Don't revive 4 year old topics please.
