IS it just me... or is FFXIV boring?

I admit that the game has become a kind of slow. I'm behind on things like crafting and rep which I could be getting on, but I've always been the raiding type. So to preoccupy time I'm writing again ~ fanfic life bro lol. ~ But yeah, can't wait till new content.

When this post was made, i would have agreed. Took me from the day the game came out to 2017 for me to really get in to ff xiv.

I've enjoyed Stormblood so far, but it's definitely getting to the point where I do my daily things and then log off. Decided to farm birds for a few weeks waiting for Omega, but since then I haven't really had much to do. I could raid Savage if I really wanted to, but my raiding days have long since passed me by. A lull is to be expected though since patches can only produce so much entertainment. I've just been leveling alt jobs through my daily roulettes just to have something else to do. I wouldn't call the game boring right now, but we're in between patches. Mostly just waiting for the new stuff like a lot of people are.

Only main reason why i get board in this game is cause out side the city i hardly see anyone. I feel like i am playing a single player game.

Nothing will last long time in a game like this. I mean it surely depends, potd is good for leveling but that's the main thing people use it for these days. For fun, that's a very objective thing, many consider crafting fun for example and some doesn't like it. It's hard to hit a whole audience in a MMO. I think some dungeons etc are fun the first few times, but they are scripted so it won't be as fun when you done the same grind for ages. Well that's how I feel, I'm sure some here on the forum loves to do the same dungeon over 300 times.

Gathering has to be the most boring thing to do in this game. Even beast tribe quest get boring after you done the same one 100 times.

Yes.
1. The 2.5s recast time is extremely boring at the beginning. This is such a bad idea if they want to attract potential customers.
2. The housing system doesn't limit housing for one per person and there's a huge shortage on housing that they had to up the prices.
3. I came from GW2 where regardless of what server you're on, you can still hangout with everyone. This doesn't exist here
4. There little community here. In GW2, people go out of their way to revive you/help you out. If you need info, people give it to you,or the wiki has it. The ffxiv wiki lacks a lot of info. I've even googled a lot of questions that don't have a solution or the question wasn't asked.
5. The gameplays static. There's no builds or anything. Every class has the same set of skills.
But my SO and I are moving back to GW2 once we finish delta.
I do like this game but there isn't a lot of content and the recent events suck. The only reason to stick with it is the story lines and the graphics.
