How may times do you wanna do a primal fight which ends up becoming a bit repetitive. Its the same thing with just an extra bit of spit and shine to make it look a bit different. Which in my opinion gets old and boring very quickly.
It's just you.
Three Ilm Knights, One Thousand Malm Road

I'd be on break right now but for raid prog, so there's that. Still gonna dip in for Legion 7.3and the Gunner release for Blade and Soul, though. I imagine a decent number of my raid team would be willing to try the new BNS patch, at least (no sub like WoW).
I mean, at the end of the day some dude buying a Fantasia three-pack basically makes up for the breaks I take, so I doubt SE is worried with regards to the financial end of things.

FFXIV is the only MMO that hasn't bored me. There will be needs for short breaks here and there. Maybe even longer ones. Don't play any one game all the time. Take some breaks, play other games and return back feeling more fresh if you find yourself burning out. For me, I still have the savage stormblood raids to do and by that time, new content will be out.
Just take a break whenever you feel tired and if you feel bored constantly, the game just might not be for you.
Just a reminder, for some people it's not boring, for some it is. But there is 1 thing people never mention is that, when they do things for a while in this game, the boring part turns into a chore, which means it never gets boring but it's something you need to do. Many people have this issue and it goes on repeat all the time and since you are so used to it, it's no longer ''boring''.

Just you and a small minority of players, if it was boring many players wouldn't have 3-5 years into the game, some since 1.0.
I believe we will see Balthier in Eorzea one day!
What it is is subjective, and not everyone is looking to the same level of gratification at the same pace as you, or anyone else really.
I'm not bored, which is mainly what matters. Neither are the tons of other players making up very healthy sub numbers, at least for the most part or I'd really question the point of the sub.
Some dungeons are short, some not so much, but nothing remotely as bad as the current state of dungeons in WoW, for example. The boss fights are fun, the story is quality, the nostalgia is cool, and the people are great, at least on my server. If you're bored, you aint trying.
Its dreadfully boring.
Except at this point in Stormblood there's only so much you. can do. Lvling up remaining doh/dol/battle class, gathering/crafting red and yellow scripts, doing daily roulettes, doing weekly raid for loot if rng favors you, hunting A/S ranks if time is up. To me this isn't content, this is chore. In pve there's only fates to do and it really gets to you after doing a few rounds of those. Even if there's some form of map events leading to a map boss I doubt the server can handle that much of players in a map(ixion as an example) I really feel that SE have to step up on their game to really keep the players engage and right now is plain boring.

I wonder if because when I'm in work, I've almost always had super-varied and exciting jobs, the "monotony" of FFXIV is what keeps me enjoying it. The daily tomestone grind, the farming of experience, the crafting of items. The monotony is almost therapuetic to me. I like it.Except at this point in Stormblood there's only so much you. can do. Lvling up remaining doh/dol/battle class, gathering/crafting red and yellow scripts, doing daily roulettes, doing weekly raid for loot if rng favors you, hunting A/S ranks if time is up. To me this isn't content, this is chore.
White Mage ~ Sage ~ AstrologianBoi if you got kicked for the same thing in over 20 duties I strongly suggest you think hard on whatever the hell it is you're doing
As I'm sure you are well aware, it takes more than one person to be able to kick a player from a duty, so in all those instances there were at least two people agreeing they'd be better off without you tanking.
