EXP party camps? rude
Everything else? fair game

No no silly, it's the general attitude of most people. For EXP camps tag the mob first and then taunt other group and just camp on their faces. For everything else (hnm/conested zones like dynamis/whatever else there is) ANYTHING GOES LOL.
It's really the best way to get stuff done, just be better then the other groups.
May the best player/group win whatever they came for - I understand this mentality in a game.No no silly, it's the general attitude of most people. Waaaaahhhh they are better then I am and won't go away so I can win what I want! - this is the mentality I don't understand in a game.
Because generally a decent camp supports 1 party for EXP worth the time spent. If another party insists on fighting for enemies, there's downtime, not enough enemies to supplied for both teams, and neither party is really productive. It's completely ignorant to ignore this fact.
There are also two types of players. Ignoring the shades of gray and focusing on the extremes, some players try to be courteous, others don't give a ****. Either player type is fine, i'm just telling you that because of the explanation above, it's generally common courtesy to seek another camp when one is taken.
Worth it for whom? The player who prefers to compete in a game or the player who prefers not to compete in a game?
Sorry, but "worth" is subjective and not a concrete reason for "xp" not being ok for competition in a game.
For example: Two players are competing for an NM. It may take hours for one of the players to actually out-claim the other player and then finally get the RNG drop.
Those same two players are competing for XP. It may take hours for one of the players to actually out-claim the other player and then finally get some XP.
