if you can't beat the dummy, your individual dps isn't high enough. if you hit the enrage, your overall dps isn't high enough. fairly certain they tell you if your dps isn't high enough

I think alot of players would like this, but it would still not fix the issue why people want parsers in the first place. The reason why people want parsers is to confront the underpreformers with their low DPS. The goal is to say: "You are doing low damage, here is the proof, please improve or you are going to be kicked from the group" Its all about showing the underpreformer that they are being carried, this will hopefully make them want to improve. Personal Parsers is good and all I prefer personal, but I can understand why a party parser is needed.
On the otherhand sometimes parsers are not needed to know when someone is underpreforming. I have seen to many Black Mages not casting any Fire IV, let alone Foul.

Parsers are needed in Savage content. (like Omega 3.0/4.0 Savage)When doing normal rotations and stuff, enrage is -not- about your entitled parse numbers, it is about how often people are dying, or being obviously totally afk. (-min ilevel requirements and all that jazz-)
Parses are not needed, were never needed and are mostly used for engaging in toxic behavior. The "people improve with parsing"-myth slander is appalling; people improve with playing, that's all there is to it, repeated playing, all that is needed. Grow up. If you want numbers, there are these gray area's and keep them to yourself. Bai bai.
For example, if your raid DPS is around 20k on O3S, you will not clear it. Dying or not doesn't have anything to do with it. If a raid DPS is around 20K without anyone dying and people doing mechanics correctly, that group still will not be able to clear O3S due to minimal Raid DPS requirement, which is around 23K (if i remember correctly, maybe +/- 500). Otherwise, Madame Hallicarnassus will say "Bai bai" to that group.
At least, if you run a parser in PUG, you can see that much.
I know that ignorance is a bliss, but if someone would like to tackle Omega 3.0 Savage and further, they need to know that at least.
Tbh, this is applicable even in V1S/V2S. I've done a few PFs trying to help some friends clear after seeing enrage multiple times, and some of the groups I have been in just don't have the overall raid DPS to clear the fight. Even in groups where there haven't been excessive deaths, there just wasn't enough outgoing DPS to clear the fights. This could be due to any number of things (gear, rotations, laziness of party members, etc.).
So this just goes back to what I said in my original response to this individual that meeting enrage is far more than just "not dying and pressing 1-2-3."

Man I wish I had a parser for ps4.......I want nothing more than to experiment and self improve.
Yesterday a friend wrote in chat that we should have at least a personal parser and I agree with him. If we cant get one for the whole group then give us at least a personal one. Those who are unwilling to learn will never learn but those that want to get better will have a way to see their numbers. Beating up the dummy only tells you if you can do the minimum amount of DPS or not. Also this is a fight without any mechanics. Being able to see your own DPS after true bosses would be way better. And it would give us finally a tool that shows every Dot correctly.
Letter from the Producer LIVE Part IX Q&A Summary (10/30/2013)
Q: Will there be any maintenance fees or other costs for housing, besides the cost of the land and house?
A: In older MMOs, such as Ultima Online, there was a house maintenance fee you had to pay weekly, but in FFXIV: ARR we decided against this system. Similarly, these older MMOs also had a system where your house would break down if you didn’t log in after a while in order to have you continue your subscription, but this is a thing of the past and we won't have any system like that.
I saw an O3S "clear" PF the other day and the leader wrote they would kick anyone who dies. Of course this person doesn't put up much damage in the first place.
One of my raid groups we cleared O3S during the first week with several deaths.
It's okay, mistakes can happen in there because all you have to do is mess up your footing in minijack and you are dead. I'm sorry this person's expectations were so low, but it's really because they are part of the people who can't play their jobs to an acceptable level. It's just appalling some people are getting carried along with their unacceptable damage they finally hit a wall and want to blame others for their problems.
I'd like a personal parse at the end of a fight to show you how you did - and perhaps, since it's watching your rotation anyway, tell you what you could do better.
I still think an Allagan control room (with Faust at the helm) where you could simulate battles would be FANTASTIC.
You know, this tier's "Faust" is ExDeath in O4S. Good and bad in a way. See I kind of miss A1S Faust a bit because that kept the bad players out of Gordias Savage for awhile. He was the dummy that you had to put everything in. Even if you came in there without a Ravana Extreme weapon, you were automatically unworthy.
Now we get an O1S that can be road-killed pretty easily so bad dps players just keep moving on.
If youve ever played pvp why is it Iv never once heard someone call someone else out for having 0 kills 0 damage on another player, and like 10 damage on ice, and like five deaths. This is what everyone can see after, a pvp match is over so why can they show us everything aside from damage per second in pvp. So how can they have a cery system in the game that tracks everything in pvp, but yet nothing at all in pve that just seems backwards to me because alot of people use pve more. If such a system didnt exist I wouldnt of even made this post, because I know yoshi has even walked out of an interview about about questions about a parser.
