Those players have been around forever, not just in SB. In ARR I was that player who never aoe'd because I was a dumb noob. I've seen Black mages single target in mass pulls and monks that don't seem to know that Rockbreaker exists. And this was throughout ARR and HW. One issue could be that FF is a lot of people's first MMO. I know it was the case for me. And there were a lot of growing pains for me when I was adjusting to the style of the game. Toolkit? Wtf is that? Death Blossom? That's an ability? (<-- legitimate response from me to another player in 2.x Brayflox HM who called me out on not using my aoe on the last boss's bomb mechanic). Not saying that it's ok not to aoe in a large pack. I've gotten out of dungeons feeling exhausted because I abused my TP throughout the entire run. Adding an aoe section to Hall of the Novice would be a decent start, but ultimately the game is going to be as casual friendly as it has always been. I've found it's best to find the humor in it. That way at least the descent into madness is slightly more enjoyable lol
