The way every AST has tried to counter this argument is that SCH has a fairy, so before someone jumps on the basic argument bandwagon, I'd like to mention: The fairy is basic healing power. No mitigation. It's also barely noticeable without the actual Scholar backing it, so it's not a fair trade when compared to ASTs shield.

So when the ASTs were bitching in HW about how bad they were doing, it's fine, but when we get nurfed to the floor, it's completely legit.

Did Chain Stratagem get deleted from the game? Can AST just use all their cards whenever they want without having to Draw for them and get their Royal Road buff in place? Are all of AST's heals off the GCD now? Does AST have infinite MP? Can AST now regen and shield at the same time?

AST CANNOT do everything at once, but people act like they can, and it's so, so tiring to hear about.

At least we were complaining about what OUR job didn't have, instead of what the other jobs had and how we wanted them to get nerfed everywhere possible.

We were expecting something else than what they gave us. We never expected our heals to be akin to WHM/SCH. So it's not our fault we "step on other healers' territory". This is what we got and this is what we have to work with. You can't just complain until they make us completely useless just because of your pet peeve, or else there's no point in having new healer jobs implemented if they do the same thing they did with AST.

Three Jobs

Two Jobs Preferred, Buff Third.

One Job Preferred, Nerf That One.

If all three healers are viable, but one is strongly preferred, the special one needs to be brought down to match.

They followed the proper pattern for Heavensward, not so much for Stormblood. But buffed AST so much through Heavensward, and added so much going into Stormblood that AST became the Preferred Job. Hence, nerfs needed.

We got the nerf that everyone's been hailing for and people have STILL found something to cry about. Go outside and play if this game is making you so unhappy. Pick a flower. Chase a butterfly. Find your happy place. At the rate this is going, they could prune all of our healing spells and make us an auto-attack job and people would still complain that our Star Globes are too damn shiny.
