What an absolutely horrendous change. I can't BELIEVE I let myself get excited about this. Currently if an Astrologian casts 1 Helios and 1 Earthly Star every minute combined with their sect bonus they have a total AOE heal potency of 1,025. If a White Mage casts 1 Medica, 1 Assize, and 1 Plenary every minute they achieve a total AOE heal potency of 750. Why even bother making this adjustment to the skill if you were going to nerf it so far into the ground we still wouldn't want to use it. Why do you continue to make one mistake after another when it comes to balancing this job? What is wrong with you?

I'm sorry but I quit. I refuse to play a game where my favorite job gets stepped all over for years on end. It has to stop. I was willing to accept that maybe, with Stormblood, they made a mistake. With 4.05, they should have corrected that mistake. But now it's increasingly obvious that they don't know what they're doing. I'm out. Everyone enjoy yourselves.

Bit of a bad example, don't you think? You don't cast x aoes per minute, you cast them when you use them.

Also why aren't you using Cure III instead of Medica I in your numbers? that would make WHM's AoE potency per minute 1000.

Honestly if you're using Cure III any additional healing by PI will result in overheals.

While I agree, that's not the point JCV was trying to make. JCV was purely comparing potencies in a vacuum. By your logic then AST would be overhealing, more than WHM too!

Additionally I didn't include Cure III because it's only situational based on stacks and group coordination. And when it comes to situational healing, it was take White Mage 2 medicas, an assize, and then Plenary to just match what an Astrologian can do in the space of a single GCD assuming they've already laid Earthly Star.
