Enchanted melee attacks are unaspected magic damage.Another question:
"3) Embolden should be happening after Enchanted Riposte."
Why is it optimal to do Embolden after Enchanted Riposte? Doesn't Embolden only increase your magic dmg (and physical dmg of party)? So that would mean there's 2 GCD's wasted in the Embolden window, right? Or am I missing something?

This is because of the way Embolden has stacks. If you embolden at Enchanted Riposte then by the time you get to your VerFinisher you will have already lost a stack thus reducing the damage of your hardest hitting spell.

If I had to guess, to make sure Verflare/Verholy got the maximum benefit for Embolden as it's 550 potency instead of Ripostes 210, although if we do the math emboldening to hit the Riposte and the finisher equals out to 65 extra potency between the two attacks as opposed to 55 from the enhanced verflare/holy

The maths are a little bit wonky because of the decay and how every other spell is instant. I'm having to go into the spreadsheet and manually promote or demote some of the bonuses based on the interplay between the decay and the Dualcast mechanic.
It gets even wonkier when we get into spellspeed-modified recast times, and some of the decays move into the middle of hardcast spells instead of just after instant spells.
Enchanted Riposte → Embolden will be between 5 and 11 potency higher than Embolden → Enchanted Riposte, depending on how late in the GCD you activate it.
(the 0.5 or 0.1 times for Embolden represent activating it earlier or later in the GCD)

Error 3102 Club, Order of the 52nd Hour

Just a small correction, the recast for redoublement is 2.2 seconds not 1.5
