It sounds funny, but before Enchanted Riposte is prolly a better choice, but not by much.

BRB, spreadsheeting to decide which is really better.
Napkin math it is a difference of 16 potency in favor of enbolden before enchanted riposte. 66 vs 50 to be exact.

Edit: Had to wait till I got home to edit this. If you still take into account an extra ability at 2% that is any where from an additonal 4 to 8.4 potency give or take to using it after enchanted riposte. That means you still have 7.6 to 12 potency more doing it before.

I tend to pop embolden pre-verfinisher anyway, as combined with manafy I can fit two verfinishers under one embolden.

Is the most optimal way to use Manafication? I was always holding off on it until I got to 40/40 for another complete melee combo.

Without accounting for the rest of the party and how you might want to fit your rotation with theirs, you get the most out of Manafication if you use it at 50|49 or 50|50. Using it at 41|40 or 40|40 is losing out on 36~40 mana.

    Previous post updated with spreadsheet.

The difference is small, so do whichever one will line you up with the rest of the party better.

I'm kinda new to RDM, and I'm sorry if it was mentioned anywhere, but what's the general preference for corps-a-corps and displacement? I see a lot of corps first, melee then displace, but also displace then corps into melee, is there a huge difference?

If your goal is to do the most damage possible, you probably want to be in melee range by default, use Corps-a-corps and Displacement on cooldown for pure damage or for mechanics-related movement, and position yourself manually during Dualcasts. This will get you more uses of Corps-a-corps and Displacement overall while also auto-attacking during each Dualcast that you're in range.

Is it worth even equipping the susano weapon for 15 int and 1 magic damage when you lose all that direct hit?

The Susano weapon like i had stated earlier they have the stats reversed red Mage has blm stats (spell speed, like really SE?) and blm weapon has stats that would be better for Red Mage i believe.
I am keeping the Ala Mhigan weapon until the raid weapon is available

You have to realize that while the secondaries on the susano weapon aren't exactly great, the weights on all secondaries are really low this early on in the xpac. So +1 weapon damage is absolutely better.
