Arcanist can choose healer or dps. Scholar and Summoner.
If monk was same choose. Would new tank as "kung fu"?

I can see Blue Mage as a tank.
Give it a range of monster abilities via job quests (such as using Bad Breath as a type of defensive cooldown, making use of its myriad of status effects) and also throwing in a Learn ability so that Blue Mage can gain ability stacks from enemy skills. Where they can then either save the skill for later, derive/adjust the skill to alter how it works for blue mage (so that he can take primal abilities and use a monster equivalent instead of the primal ability), or adapt to the skill in order to defend against it better (ex, hit by susano tank buster, adapt to it and gain a perfect dodge you can trigger for the next attack to avoid it an its effects entirely, thus allowing the blue mage to with proper timing ignore the next tank buster).
This way you can have a range of abilities that is required by the class to function, and you also have a way that you can still incorporate the blue mage learning of mob abilities as a gameplay mechanic.

Something similar to Luopons from FFXI? I'd be fine with that as well. A Bell seems like the most obvious weapon choice for it being a spellcaster. Having it be a healer tied to elements is too similar to WHMs lore for my taste. I'd rather have it be a ranged spell DPS, melee spell DPS, or even a tank that uses the elements to enhance their armor and fighting abilities. Earth increasing armor buff, water for Regen buff wind for haste buff.. There are a lot of options for Geomancer.
With the NPC and the Qi spells in game being placeholders, it seems we have a decent shot of it being a job eventually. I just hope we don't have to wait as long for it as we did in XI
Bumping the message. For Geomancer!!

New tank job based on the Garleans that uses a gun blade. Magitek tank stance, gun blade DPS stance. I think that will get tons of people to want to play the role. I'd also love to see a healer that doesn't rely on magic to heal. Maybe an item user that uses potions instead?
BLU tanks and DNC heals

I love seeing GEO hopes~ Although, Kyokuho uses CNJ animations, unlike Fordola and Nero, who have unique ones for their curious little gunblade.
Anyway, having one luopon out at a time would be a nice method to balance a buff/damage aoe system.
Geo could be bard-like as a support in that way, but instead of the buff zone being around the bard, it'd be around the luopon.
But, if it has a drain like Bard, and GEO's a caster of some kind, Luopons would have to either drain off of TP to keep MP available for other skills, or work off a similar system to Aetherflow stacks. If not, they'd need a large CD.

I think a tank using either gunblade or gunhammer with the gunshield in the Garlean style would be appropriate for 5.0. As far as healer, a Thav inspired Chemist or Ala Mhigan inspired Dancer would be good choices. I'd also like to see something that haven't been in a final fantasy before: priest monks.
