The new skill info is up and look SAM has no positional requirements. That is going to trigger other melee DPS Jobs

Atleast True North will remove positional requirements for a short time for the other Melee Jobs.

I'm talking about damage wise which is usually more heavy on other Melee DPS Jobs.

You're still losing out on Kenki which translates directly into more damage.
And as many theorcycrafters already pointed out in this thread, Kenki generation is extremely important especially for maximized opener.

The Kenki loss is a damage loss: Less Kenki = less Hissatsu skills.

5 Kenki is 60 potency of damage loss on single target, pretty much directly. You have to use an extra ogcd every 5 "missed" positional attacks to gain the damage, but it's still a direct loss of damage. This assumes it is used on the lowest common denominator in terms of damage, because generally you will be saving kenki for the more important abilities anyway so the "extra" kenki you miss out on would be for the basic kenki spender. In actual fact, it could also be more than that depending on whether it delays use of more important kenki abilities (it never should, but it could if you do it wrong enough).
