I would also like a response on this if possible. I know myself and a lot of my friends are wondering as well.
Please let us know!
Not only that, but what each of these do in detail;

Magic Craftsmanship
Did we ever get a reply about STR vs attack power? That's the one I wanna see!
I think the important thing here is that Rukkirii and Hvinire are missing their pumpkins!
Kinda lame how AGI won't effect evasion.
Ok, so, conjurer uses elemental spells and I understand the elemental attributes will help defend against those spells but what about the ones from thaumaturge? Aren't they light and darkness? Which element are they in the elemental attributes?Magic defense was removed in patch 1.19.There is physical defense listed, but no magic defense. Which attribute will affect the amount of damage received from magic? What kind of effect does magic evasion have?
Magic defense will be affected by elemental attributes. Each elemental attribute will reduce the magic damage received based on the element of the spell being cast.
Magic evasion is a parameter which determines what amount of damage and debuffs can be avoided when being hit by an enemy’s spell.
LOL cash shop! SE's way to tell their player how they appreciate them... pull the carrot and empty your pockets $$$
And to those who support it: you are kicking yourselves. -- We just need to sit back and laugh at people with cash shop items.
(Marvelous economics IQ test!)
As far as I know:
- Umbral is an equal split of Earth/Ice/Water
- Astral is an equal split of Fire/Thunder/Wind
To OP, thanks for doing your tests, the results were compelling. Please update the main post to reflect that (at least for R50) higher tier stats increase by 1.0 due to a 4.0 increase in the corresponding core stat. Please see my test thread and/or blog for details:

In regards to the questions of "how much STR do I need to increase my attack?" and "Well, in FFXI this is how it worked!" type of comments; FINAL FANTASY XIV works entirely differently and doesn't use the same system where (for example) 2STR = 1 attack. STR+ X is used to calculate your damage output so you won't see a change in other parameters by simply adding on more STR.

Whoa! This is such an unexpected info! o_o But then we still have the question...so what does it do?In regards to the questions of "how much STR do I need to increase my attack?" and "Well, in FFXI this is how it worked!" type of comments; FINAL FANTASY XIV works entirely differently and doesn't use the same system where (for example) 2STR = 1 attack. STR+ X is used to calculate your damage output so you won't see a change in other parameters by simply adding on more STR.
If attack power adds attack power and STR adds...attack power (like was said by triary), then what's the difference? In the end, is it like FFXI? STR increasing damage window cap and Attack power increasing damage output?
The info is still confusing...
