    How are you getting 3-4? Life lasts 15 seconds, Nastrond has a recast of 10 sec. Assuming that after Geirskoguling into Life, Nastron is available immediately, that means 2 Nastrons.

    This is from the gamer escape write up:

    Once you gain four eyes, using Geirskogul will activate the new mode, Life of the Dragon. While this status is active, Geirskogul is changed to a new ability called Nastrond, which is a 320-potency attack with the same range and shape as Geirskogul on a 10 second cooldown. Once in Life of the Dragon, the timer resets to 15 seconds and you have that long to possibly get in two Nastrond uses.

    Sadly gamerscape is wrong in that one, well the one who wrote that up, idk if it was Avalonstar.

    But if you check some YouTube videos about the MediaTour you'll see Life of the Dragon lasts as long as your Blood of the Dragon was before entering it, so let's say my Blood of the Dragon is at 29 seconds when I have 4 eyes and press Geirskogul, now I have 28-29 seconds of Life of the Dragon. Nastrond right away, another one in second 18, and last one in second 8.

    Here you can see what I'm talking about, check the gauge bar.

    While this is true, remember now we have 5 GCD combos so after Full Thrust we do Fang and Claw and then Wheeling Thrust. So we need to go flank, rear, flank for the Heavy Thrust reapplication!

    I've only played the game for about 6 months and have been wondering this. Has it ever been officially stated why Jump returns you to your original position? Are they trying to limit mobility?

    If i remember correctly the jump animation lock was a pvp-leftover, that happened before i started playing lol. Hopefully with pvp-isolation we can get the animation lock removed from pve!.....it would certainly lead to far fewer shiny-puddle moments!!

    Also the one thing i haven't seen talked about here is the removal of giersokgul's 10s BotD cost; which makes the buff far easier to maintain (if the tooltip is near-correct in its statement). Did anyone else notice this?

    You also get Fang and Claw and Wheeling Thrust chaining off each other, adding 20 seconds instead of one of them adding 15. Sure seems like barring a big mistake BOTD will be up pretty much all the time you are in combat.

    Inb4 new meta is using Geirskogul at exactly 30s of Blood of the Dragon (not letting it tick down to 29!), so you have a full 30s of Life of the Dragon. This allows you to nail a 4th Nastrond right as the Life of the Dragon buff falls off at 0 seconds. This will probably hurt people with bad ping but bam there's your elite skill cap: trying to do a rotation that allows for 4 Nastronds. Reminds me of the double Full Thrust rotation under Blood for Blood from 2.4 rotation but that had a 2second margin for error before Heavy Thrust/BFB dropped. This would have a split second margin for error.

    Most DPS have an ability for mobility:
    MNK: Shoulder Tackle
    NIN: Shukuchi
    DRG: Spineshatter Dive, Dragonfire Dive


    Since DRG has 2, it makes no sense to give us a third one, especially because we ALSO have Elusive Jump. For balance purposes, Jump brings us back to the same location we started from. This is also how Jumps worked in FFXI, and also in old FF games, where Dragoons jump, hit the enemy, then bounce back to their position.

    I highly doubt anyone will be able to execute that.

    And both of these are used whenever they come off cooldown most of the time, saving them is dps loss in most cases. Also you forget Elusive Jump, the true DRG's mobility skill.
