I don't know what everyone's situation is like but the price points of these things tend to settle around metric data. People have stated this in various ways already.
The pay to play model isn't exactly popular as it is. Personally I barely notice the cost and find the price of the additional items trivial. If not utterly meaningless. As im sure would anyone on an average city income. Point being, perspectives are different.
Knowing what the cash shop funding is put towards and considering the items are optional, I'm not entirely sure what the problem is. So they may not be available in game sure. But realize that if they were - people wouldn't buy them. Thus the cash shop wouldn't be generating the additional income they aim for. You may feel like the sub generates enough. I imagine however, that in these times (and with so few flocking to the sub models vs other games) that it does not. If you truly have the best interests of the game at heart, at least approach the subject with less of a 'me, me, me' point of view.
