Im so sick of this "Final Fantasy feeling" making a soulless unoriginal game.

Let's change how mario looks and give him a super hero suit that looks like spiderman, instead of red he'll be green.

Every game has it's heritage, it's iconic characters with their unique and distinctive looks that sets them apart. It's like a trademark but for characters. It's part of the image that represents not only the game but the series itself. I don't think straying away from their roots is a good idea, for any game. It's a slate that many fans have already liked through out the time, and grown along with it. So it's hard to see such a concept change.
