Am I the only person who would simply love to see Advent Children-style jumping in the game?

I think such mechanics would be fun in a different kind of game. But for FFXIV it would seem out of place. Even the R46 cutscene looked stupid and out of place to me. I'd like to see tomb raider jumping and platform elements involved in dungeons though, with that being said.
Blade and soul has the Advent Children kind of jumping and fighting, but for FFXIV, i would like them to tone it down a bit it (not that they'd ever do it anyway)

I agree, but I think it's mostly due to the fact that we're so used to seeing our characters glued to the ground. Trying rolling the picture around in your head for a few moments - it took me several before I could really imagine it without it seeming weird.

I guess the reason I see it as weird is because I imagine FFXIV to be grounded in a sense of realism. When I do entertain the notion of high jumping acrobatics and suchlike, I think it would change the fabric of the game in a way which isn't flattering. And it's not just me being afraid to see the game change from what im used to, it's me not really seeing Wuxia combat mesh well with the world of FFXIV.
