There certainly are. Our did you miss the post I was replying to, asking for the Groom's Tailcoat set to be unlocked for females?
And the game itself has massive double standards when it comes to glamour, albeit ones that make no sesnse, given that male characters can wear a lot of dresses and otherwise feminine gear already, but are inexplicably locked from equiping certain items. I can wear a full, floor-length skirt, and as a white mage one of my PvP sets is actually a ballgown, but apparently all the Weavers in Ul'Dah can't figure out how to alter a wedding dress to fit me?
And that's not even touching on the double standard of the mass of female only items that still have no male only equivalents! And one of the recent interviews made it sound like the ONE concession we've won, the male bunny suit, is being delayed to prioritize other content. Not okay, especially since we've had a couple rounds of fresh gear models since then.
I'd never call names, as it's classless and not conducive to rational discussion, but, well...make me look like the idiot because I am opposed to your wish about wearing wedding gowns, and you obviously cant handle it.
People always jump to this and I'm not sure why. I mean, is it really so hard to believe that I, as an almost totally straightIt's really interesting how the LGBT community(I mean, if Merlwyb wanted a go, I'd at least consider it...)female, just want to dress my catboy in cute outfits without running into arbitrary restrictions and model differences? I wonder what assumptions youmake about people who dress their catgirls or Au Ra in cute clothes are LGBT.
I mean, I'm sure some of the people who want more equal glamour options ARE, but try to remember why it's bad to ASSuME things in the future.
I'll have to come back to this point later, I'm laughing too hard to type...so damn entitled
So your solution is to punish the group with more, and bring them down, rather than actually fix the problem and bring everyone UP to the same level? I mean, it's a tactic that has only made things worse when applied in real world politics, but I guess it's vaguely possible it could have a different result here?PS: Remove.... [snip]
Also, you seem confused, because the post I replied to was asking for the male-locked wedding items to be unlocked for females; no one ever mentioned the Best Man set (though in all fairness, the Bridesmaid set ought to be unlocked as well, especially since we've already had a male NPC wear it!).
In the real world, you would be correct. In Eorzea, males regularly dress in ways we would consider incredibly feminine, and no one batts an eye. Just look at some of the artifact gear. The progenitor of the White Mages was A MALE Padjal, and yet our job-specific gear is some of the most fabulously girly in the game. Your argument, therfore, fails to hold water.way more acceptable on woman than a dress on guys.
Don't make me get my collection of screenshots with my character dressed like a woman. Despite what you may think, it's not actually a mode of glamour I normally enjoy, so neither of us will enjoy the experience. I'll do it if I have to, though.
