Well here it's "just" about glamour, no big deal and not a huge impact on other players.
Maybe they are affraid of how the pvp tchat would be used ? had some harassment issues on other games because of that (but I did not really take a look at that pvp tchat issue so might be wrong ¯\_(ツ)_/¯)

    Very glad about that !

Yes, this is a casual game for the most part - that doesn't mean people need to walk on eggshells in fear of getting reported for pointing out things. This whole 'please don't say anything even slightly negative' mentality that we seem to be going towards and the devs seemingly pushing towards it is creating a disturbing trend.

Popular thought is that it was done to curb player harassment, but it hasn't done that. It actually compounded the problem beyond what it once was (and it was rather minute).
It has caused several problems for newer players that can't ask questions about things they don't know, and veteran players who can't communicate with their team or answer those questions.
It's been a pretty hot topic since the day it was announced, and we got no response until 3 months later, after they made the change despite massive negative feedback.
40 pages into the thread about it, full of suggestions and alternatives, a post was made by a community rep, asking for more suggestions; the biggest of which ended up still being ignored til now.

I encourage you to take a look over in the PvP section at the thread with the incredibly high number of views. This problem could certainly use a bit more exposure.
