I would suggest that they are far more immersion breaking than a male character wearing a traditionally female outfit since you can rationalize that the character is having gender issues and is exploring their female side.

BTW, my best man at my wedding was dressed in exactly the same traditional Scottish wedding outfit that I was wearing all the way down to the Sgian-dubh worn in the hose. Of course, *she* looked wonderful in the outfit, as did her husband (also in the same gear), my wife wore a traditional wedding gown. No one questioned the choice of my best friend to be my best 'man' despite her gender, and no one questioned her dressing in the traditionally male outfit. It wasn't immersion breaking for the guests. I guess I just feel that this is one of those things that really isn't going to benefit from vigorous debate.

Yes, you are absolutely right. I do NOT appreciate snowman heads, pig outfits and other similarly silly looking glams.
And no, a guy wearing a wedding gown is just as immersion breaking as a snowman head. Absolutely no difference to me.
Having gender issues is assumingly far from enjoyable (I can only assume) and I bet its not easy, but it has no place in this game.

Again, youre bringing up RL situations. Why? I already stated that Game and IRL are two separate matters to me.
Stating that it shouldnt have room in the game doesnt outrule it in RL. For all I care, you could let guys wear wedding gowns in a SIMS game (cos its in a modern setting and well, single player, so whatever)
But it's a mood breaker in a typical fantasy MMORPG.

We got a cute dyeable glamour miniskirt in a patch last year. Your immersion is already at breaking point if you're in denial at all of this skirt potential open to male characters, so at what point did it suddenly lurch over into unreasonable territory to insinuate that if female characters wanted to get their hands on yet another piece of relatively masculine gear, I'd expect some basic reciprocation? Nobody is forcing you to come to my server and look at me against your will. If you want things classy, maybe we should also block female Miqo'te from running around in bikinis and force everyone to dress in lore-appropriate ways at all times?

    At least you're consistent in that you don't want girls to have anything either ^^;
Stating that there already IS such mood-breaking gear does not justify adding more to it. TBH, I feel like the only reason we are in this state is solely to SE being lazy to create more gender-based gear sets and not because
they want all guys to run around in dresses.
Every other game I've played so far had separate models for male and female characters.
You could tell they were the same set because of the overall style and colors, but they were more catered to the designated gender.

I'm not too fond of pure bikini sets, but as long as its girls wearing them and not guys it's not really too concerning.

It is just as much of our right to state our opinion as much as it is for others. Debating means you will have both opinions, pro and con.
Technically, by the same argument, its not anyone's place to come here and ask for female stuff to be unlocked for males, because SE
decided to limit it to female-only. Now if someone requests to unlock it to males, i have the same right to request to NOT do that.
    Simple.

The game and characters are not real, exactly. No need to go through dangerous and complicated sex-change surgeries.
Drink a fantasia and change your character to a female if you wanna wear specific female gear.
