2K? I am running a 670 video card with everything on max. PC is worth about 5-700 bucks. And guess what. I can do a WHOLE lot more on it than a console. PC users are deprived of a lot of amenities because it has to stay toned down for console users. I'm not necessarily debating PC vs. Console. Just saying the game could be a whole lot more if it went PC only. My biggest complaint is not being able to use addons. UI changes, scrolling combat text things like WoW has.

seeing as you brought up add-ons and wow ill be honest once wow added add-ons the game got toxic "you NEED a number generator" "you neeed this and that" after add-ons wow went down hill and required a lot less actual skill to play because the add-ons told you what to do and when to do for maximum effect add-ons in an mmo basically enable players to be lazy and win and still act like there the best when there not there add-on is

You got that all wrong, the reason why it didn't came out initially to PS3 was because the current dev team for final fantasy 14 thought it was a good idea to make the game with as much detail as they can, hence using a lot more PC resources that made the game slow down, they also announced at that time that a PS3 version of the game would be available but due to all the current problems they were having just on the PC alone they couldn't release it on PS3 just yet.

Also it is mean spirited, when there are people out there who's paying just as much as anybody that wouldn't be able to play, only to have it rubbed it to face since they played in a different console

However those same issues existed for players with lower end PCs, so I don't see your argument here.

The point is people are running around saying how PC is so much better and they all console support should be dropped, which I guess none of those people stop to think of the lower end PCs and Yoshi-p view point of wanting everything to be equal.

I rather play with someone that is being hand held and performing well because of it, then forcing 3 people to carry them.

No that is not the case, it kept being delayed because the ps3 could not handle 1.0 and they had problems of making it compatible. 1.0 demanded A LOT, and was coded poorly to make the situation worse. Even max pcs a year later of 1.0 release could not 60 fps it at max settings. Why do you think the zones are much smaller now?

it is not mean spirited, are you going to tell me we need to be stuck in the 1980s because a person paid 300+ USD for a brick back then? They still paid for the cell phone but the world does not owe them to be stuck on that technology.

The PS3 for FFXIV needs to be gone, it is holding it back too much to the point it is hard to function because of all the bending backwards on ps3 limitations. We need more inventory space to function, when you want a game to grow with new expansions it means using new tech as well, so the old needs to go bye bye.

FYI: pc gaming device are cheaper in the long run, consoles are cheaper with up front costs. If you care about costs so much get a PC and stop worrying so much. consoles are just easier to manage, that is the only benefit.

I really think XIV on PS3 should of never been released to begin with. Yes they made a promise back in 1.0 that XIV would release on PS3, but there a time when not all promises should be kept. This should of been one of those times.

It really shouldn't been promised to begin with. All they had to do was delay the game a few months (it needed it anyway, it was released way too soon and rushed) and have it ready for the ps4 with pc for the official release. The Ps3 is too old for this game and can't really handle it, like the ps2 for ffxi after a while.

I don't know where this topic is going once again. I don't own a ps2,3,4 or whatever number console and strictly play my games on pc. Doesn't make me a better person nor do I need to brag about my "rig" as others here do. Why can't we just once appreciate that SE is giving out a free upgrade method for players that would like to switch and call it a day? I really don't understand anymore why we day in and out have to complain about things on the forums.

I agree, I do not understand why people feel the need to hold a game back because of outdated technology while SE is trying to help them upgrade.

It did demanded a lot, that is why they held the PS3 version of the game until they could fix the current problems they had at the time, it wasn't they were not releasing it for the PS3 they were just fixing the problems they have at that moment before they started working on the console version.

And it is mean spirited, coz the OP is practically rubbing it onto their faces that they can't play anymore, I'm not condoning PS3 players for not upgrading, but making a thread showing just how happy that their gone is just mean.

Also I'm not arguing that PS3 should stay or not, coz I don't have a say in the matter, its going to happen whether I like it or not, what I'm not condoning is the apparent lack of sympathy that people such as your self have that were probably losing some players in our community, and its quite disturbing

Console support is the reason you even still have a game today. The cheering for people being unable to play the gane anymore is just plain rude
