I don't really understand threads like these or any of the ones going on about how repetitive the game is.

Every MMO is repetitive, you can't do new content every day. The "repetitive issue" is with the formula itself. I didn't rushed anything and, after a few month, the content I didn't do is now useless, most content on odd patches is worthless unless I play several roles, etc...for me, that's a problem on the long run.
My previous experience in MMO was with FFXI, and each expansion managed to offer gear in a different way without any issue, even when not considering the fact that old gear wasn't automatically obsolete when new gear is released.
