I 100% agree with this, my contribution to the discussion was:

Lets not talk about removing rewards because that is bad practice instead lets talk about:

- Asking the devs for a decay system
- Asking the devs for a more robust reporting system and moderation
- Asking the devs for the restriction that only one character per account per datacenter is allowed to be ranked
- Asking the devs for a token system so that mounts from previous seasons can be obtained in future seasons if you don't like that seasons rewards (promotes the idea that the reward can always be obtained while still keeping the reward as a PVP ranked prize)

I was prompty ignored amongst people saying "I hate PVP" while also demanding the rewards. Yes the ranking system is broken but lets demand the devs fix it rather than demand the rewards because even mentioning the rewards, or any other request is illogical and frankly entitled.

It reeks of rank egoism, as does your entire post.

For the record, rank egoism doesn't exist in this context because the rewards are confined within the PVP bubble where their intended purpose is to promote competition. Hell, saying something like "it's egoism" is just an excuse for being entitled, you haven't earned those rewards, nor do you need those rewards. Nobody is rubbing their rewards in your face just by having them, they are just a trophy that has been earned, and whether it is timed or not, those that earned them deserve them, and those that didn't do not. Not to say that PVP doesn't have problems (as outlined above), but your use of the term egoism is horribly misplaced.
