In that case wheres our in game parsers we been asking for, why not put it in the mog station, so ppl can buy it up and realize how much they suck and actually learn to play instead of requesting more mog station exclusive.

They don't want to put a parser in the game because they're (rightly) afraid of someone breaking into it and reverse engineering the damage formulas so they can manipulate and exploit them. But why am I bothering to tell you, you'll just call it an excuse and continue your angry ranting from your e-soapbox.

Fearmongering isn't gonna win you points. They don't want to put a parser in the game because they're (rightly) afraid of someone breaking into it and reverse engineering the damage formulas so they can manipulate and exploit them. But why am I bothering to tell you, you'll just call it an excuse and continue your angry ranting from your e-soapbox.

And the reason why the excuse is always "people will use it to harass low parsers" is because they don't want to give anyone the real reason why. It may be a small price to pay to keep hackers and dataminers in the dark, but I'd just as soon the actual combat mechanics in the game stay proprietary and we not have people cheating the system for personal gain.

Nothing is gonna be exploited just because people know how a damage formula works, people have been figuring out that stuff for years now to determine stat weights.
He was clear about what's his fear regarding parsers in the fan fest, you should watch it.
You guys are overreacting look at any list of top grossing mmos and this game will not be on it , like having a sub base actually turns players off and not everyone likes ff genre. But those of us whom do shouldnt be complaining when this game wants to make an extra buck , it supports the game this game isnt drowning in money so every little bit helps stop complaining if you dont want the items dont buy them.
Can you post that list? I'm certain this game is a top 5 game

Please be careful when watching MrHappy videos and instantly turning his assumptions and opinions into facts. When the question about official parsers being implemented was asked at the Live Letter at EU Fanfest, Yoshida said the concern was players using this tool against others in a harassing way. Nothing else was mentioned about this "reverse engineering" debacle.
In my opinion there should´nt be an item shop at all in an pay2play mmo
Everything should be obtainable ingame.
maybe a shop with Microtransactions, but when I see the prices from
the shop ...huehue

This. I thought this is what a P2P MMO is. You pay a sub and in turn get things via questing and grinding. If this is the way the subgenre is going I may as well just quit MMORPG all together. Can't stand F2P or B2P, seems like P2P is turning into all 3. No thank you. Guess it just makes quitting easier lol.
