Shogun Tank Request Thoughts

Hey, I would love to see PLD be able to drop a shield and add a second sword and become a DPS call.... Sword Saint? But it won't happen here. Once a vibe is set they seem to keep to it. Sorry man.

It is possible to see a duel sword Job but not likly in heavy armor. The game is still young and jobs seems to release based on the theme of the expansion and on the pool of exsisting concepts. Original concepts for a job would have to come after or when the exsistng pool of high profile jobs dwindale. As many have said before, we will not see a Shogun Job for a long time, perhaps 6.0 or 7.0 onwards to be sure or if at all unless a demand for the Job is know to the devs.

I guess the group that I associate to most often have higher amount of Tanks then DPS. 「DPSはもう多いでしょうなんでまた入れるんだ、いらないわ！」 I think that is a really good summery to be honest.

Honestly seeing what they termed as Samurai i would not want it to simply get a new crystal to put on some armor and tank. It would need a full rework from inception to completion to get back to what in my opinion it should have been. It looks the part of an unarmored glass tiger and even the animations would have to go. I would love nothing more than for them to take what was announced rename it Ronin and and make a Samurai more fitting to Sengoku era.

Having said that However i simply don't see it happening, they made their choice and the DPS won out. I have very little faith in the supposed revamps they claim to be making, and while i always planed to stick with my Dark Knight main, it's more than a little sad having to see "Honorable Samurai" jockey for the position behind the target. Even worse trying to solo with their bird to Tank for them.

I'm glad it's not a tank. I'm glad it's not that third-rate Western stereotype and instead being something different, something more appealing, something to provide a better and broader perspective on what a Samurai actually was in history.

You'll have to suck it up, they turned DRK into a tank, effectively taking out its signature move to shoehorn it into that role. I wanted SAM as a tank, until they showed everyone DRK tank in its stead. We had to deal with it then, it's your turn now.

The Samurai now is what a Samurai would be during the Edo, which is fairly acurate. But the Samurai wanted by some, are the ones from the Sengoku which would still be acurate.

Dark Knights are diffrent. It is an alternative, but ultimatly not what people want. It could be asthetic appeal, animation appeal or visual appeal.
