Kicked from DR Leveling because I don't slot Protect for low level dungeons?

Hmm yes they are both very simlilar :P Ah so you mean basically entering Sastasha with a marauder, been there done that and not an issue. Also tanked all of sastasha on healer, as we lost the tank at the start and never got a replacement.

Also you need to think wisely which do you choose flash or provoke :P

Thats all well and good dude but do you know how little protect does at low levels? Its a symbolic gesture at best and symbolic gestures don't clear the fight any faster/easier. I'd be more mad if the healer didn't have Cleric stance instead of protect lol.
And ur argument basically boils down to a strawman, those skills are not even in the same league of effectiveness as protect in low levels.

The game was created with the cross class system so that players could pick and choose which skills they wanted. The community realized that Cleric Stance is objectively the best option. Therefore, they are picking and choosing CS over useless level 19 Protect.

Yep, considering I started in PS3 beta phase as CNJ all up until I became a NIN/PLD.

Time spent =/= Gameplay skill. Time spent =/= Good decision making skills.

Hmm nope it wasn't created that way at all WHM was created to have protect. The other classes chose protect as an optional cross class skill, the playerbase decided that protect was efficient at later levels.

Ah so I am guessing you don't run ex trials with 1 tank or 1 healer etc. As it wasn't created to be ran with the 6dps 1 tank 1 healer or the many other ways that the playerbase has changed the "normal" way of doing things. Just because SE has created a fight or class to go in a certain direction doesnt mean the playerbase will agree.

A perfect example of this was FFXI SE brought NIN in as a dps and a SAM in as a tank. The playerbase rejected both those methods and made NIN a tank and SAM a dps. SE eventually caved and agreed that they best suited those roles. Also if we agreed and stuck with the norm we would still be in 1.0 :P

The community chose, but not all players can play the meta. Comfortability is my preference.
