I am refering to you control a pvp related area and you get access to PVE content in that area. I didn't imply WoW invented anything. That game was successfully because it lifted many features found in other games. It goes with the business.

I forsee an exploit in this, but I am glad because I would rather level up fighting players than mobs with zero AI.
However, I am sure most people PvPing will do it at R50 anyways.
Couldn't resist but pointing out that FFXI had content like Conflict, Besieged and Campaign which essentially did the same thing, only without PvP elements. One can argue that they're taking those features from FFXI, only this time they're adding a PvP touch to it this time around.

Why don't people like PvP? It's fun...
Would be neat to have PvP specific abilities (could only be obtained via Colosseum Points obtained by winning matches). They would only have an effect on players and could range from
Dirt toss (stupid name but meh)
Blurs the vision of your opponent
Literally makes the opponent's computer screen appear blurry so its hard to move and see what you are doing)
Disorienting Blow
Opponent loses his depth perception
Objects on screen may be larger than they appear (messes with the targets draw distance)
Confusion
Causes target to randomly select spells/abilities
You want to use Skewer II? Well game says you use Speed Surge instead!
etc etc
You would know more than I do about it, since you translated it and can interpret things better than me. So please forgive me if those systems are the more implied systems he is refering to. Just sounds a lot like the controlling company of the pvp match has access to pve related content in that area, very similar to a feature in WoW.Couldn't resist but pointing out that FFXI had content like Conflict, Besieged and Campaign which essentially did the same thing, only without PvP elements. this is so awesome. even for people who don't pvp. pvp'ers and none pvp'ers still benefits together from winning
No worries. I haven't played WoW but did play FFXI so this sort of association comes to me naturally. I guess what I'm trying to say is just because features look/sound similar to other games, it is quite possible the said feature was inspired from something else entirely. A lot of people are more vocal about concerns to how FFXIV is shaping up to look like WoW because a large percentage of players here have played WoW before and can spot similarities because they played said title before. You would know more than I do about since you translated it and can interpret things bertter than me. Someone said this earlier, but let's all not forget that it's pretty damn hard to be unique in this day and age.
