Yeah, just instanced PvP is fine, but if i go to check the wards and some numbskull keeps challenging me to duel then call me a nub when i ignore them i'll just ragequit..

Honestly Rift did it pretty well with PvP, you had the option to turn it on or off (people couldn't request to fight you) when it was on there was a flag above your head to make sure everyone knew you were on the prowl. There was some other conditions as well but I forget (been awhile) but I remember not really being bugged by it.
I love how people think PVP will be more unpredictable than most monster encounters, for the most part people get so cookie cutter with PVP builds you might as well be a mind reader.
You know exactly how the battle will play out.
RDM > All

Good point. This is part of why I don't like PvP.![]()

Uh actually WHM/NIN was the most powerful combination as the ballista tournament taught us if we're going by XI standards. Though Manawall BLMs might exceed that now, or BLU/NINs with clever enough spell layouts.
Then again, you could have an aegis/burtgang pld who takes 10% damage from everything considering the way it works now. Or just almace/aegis and -90% MDT tearing the casters apart.

Well for starters we don't even know when we are getting Red Mage. Second, I doubt it will ever be that imbalanced, considering Yoshi-P said in one of the more recent interviews they were already working on PvP numbers. Also, even if it was imbalanced, it would really only show in the coloseum. With frontlines team vs team PvP, not so much. There were plenty of lessons for them to learn from FFXI.
On the topic of getting spammed to duel, every MMO I have played with dueling had an option to ignore duel requests.

But RDM wasn't better than all...you forget about BLU!
Blade and Soul has it so that you can wear a specific item that flags you for PvP.
Only those who are flagged for PvP can attack you, and you can only return the favour to those also flagged for PvP. It's a good system, because it keeps people safe that don't want to get attacked, but lets people who want more freedom to have it.

Leveling up through PvP? I don't even had to read any of it to see one gigantic exploit already, one that's used in many competitive games already. Boosting. Just have your friend stand there and kill them over and over again to gain levels. I mean if it's within the rules of the game fine, I can just see it getting abused just as powerleveling has been.
