Because she looks like one? IRL, martial arts and dancing are quite supplementary disciplines, as both require physical fitness and control. Heck, some martial arts even evolved from dances and vice versa.

The main hallmarks of a dancer in Final Fantasy are: Status effects, revealing clothing and low stats. The rest differs per game. It's fairly easy to see it as one if you want to see it as one.
And, to bridge the gap to the topic at hand, the spiderman T-shirt also allows people to easily interpret whatever they want into it.

Note: That is an explanation, not a justification. I personally am pretty sure it's meant to be a monk, but Yoshi said "Please speculate", so /huh.

But the problem with that idea is that the only reason the term 'Dancer' is even being considered is because its the name of a job in previous final fantasy games, the same way almost all the jobs in this game are. You can't call this job 'Dancer' and not have it be fundamentally the same or even reminiscent of the job in other final fantasy games. That would go against the job selection that has been in place since the beginning.

So with your theory, you could see her being of a different job than Monk, and I'm willing to accept that, provided a substantial amount of evidence as to why it isn't monk, it just wouldn't and shouldn't be called 'Dancer', for its nothing like the job of the same name in the other games.

I was just giving a reason as to why people might watch the trailer and see, 'Dancer,' instead of, 'Two Monks.' My own first impression was dancer as well, but that was also a result of the very different style in dress. FFXIV tends to take classes from other games and adapt them to FFXIV itself, so I imagine its quite possible to include, 'Dancer,' and it being different than in past games. As an example, Red Mage HAS to follow this standard, just because the role system makes it impossible for them to be a true hybrid. In other cases we see some classes like Time Mage rolled into others like Astrologian. I could see Dancer having a heavy martial arts vibe in FFXIV, IF SE decided to go that way with it.

You can see anything as.... anything if you really wanted to lol.

and there may have been martial art forms that have been a derivative or simply gained inspiration from earlier dance forms, but they are still distinctively two different things.

and I know we are to speculate and interpret how we want, that's why I'm asking the question: What about what we have seen from the teaser trailer that would make someone who has had any semblance of knowledge of Dancer in the previous games believe the Lady in Red is a 'Dancer' above anything else?

ah, so its more so a prediction based on desire and "what IF's", and the fact that SE has gone against the grain in the past, than it is speculation based on knowledge and evidence.

    ok, that's fine.

Desire may hold a part of it. Not for me. I'm happy with Red Mage, and I can't say there is a single class/job I -want- added to the game anymore now. If Dancer were added I might try it, even level it to cap, but I think I'd stick with my White/Black/Red Mage set of classes. I'll be looking forward to Discipline of Magic classes as they're added, of course, but I doubt I'll take any for my main like I do Red/White/Black Mage.

From many of the old final fantasy games, they were mainly support classes, healing and causing status affects to the enemy party. I think in once of the games the Dancer job bore daggers as its weapon.

I've never heard of or seen a Dancer in the final fantasy games showing so much prowess in Martial Arts, with powerful kicks, formidable defense with blocking and parrying, high movement speeds, and the stances she held.

Can someone explain why they look at her and see Dancer? and please don't say because she's a woman, wearing revealing clothing, and she's moving around.
For me. It just reminds me of the ffxi dancer lol. That's why I got excited. If it's not then oh well.

Unfortunately, dancers as they were in the past, having a high focus on inflicting Standard Status Effects and other debuffs wouldn't really work in this game, due to the fact that every status is very heavily useless, or already supplied by other jobs, which would make the Dancer equivalent worthless. As an example, having every debuff in the game is a no go, because there's already a job that can do all that, Machinist, and the vast majority of those effects except stun/silence/dis/RM aren't effective. Considering that, Dancer would pretty much have to be reimagined in order to really fit in this game.

She uses monk skills, fights like a monk, and the next expansion features monks. Shes probably a monk.

Again, this seems like a muted argument to make. Its like if the fight were between two mages, one with a White Glow around them, the other with a Black Glow around them.
