People are reading way too much into stuff like the blue and red aura in the Stormblood CGI video.

It's not like any other job in the game has a glowing blue aura...oh wait



And it's not like our main hero represented in these trailers has been the job that had that aura....oh wait



It's not like the primary color for Heavensward was Blue/Azure and that Stormblood is Red/Crimson. People are reaching way hard with this.

Ratio argument again

If we want to be technical let's not forget the tanks and healers are in a divided state just like the DPS. Healers have Off Healer and Tanks have Off Tank, but we only have 1 of each, WAR and SCH. You may argue "well I don't agree with that" but the problem is this is just how Yoshi-P visualises tanks and healers and it will most likely remain going forward. The best thing to do is give PLD/DRK some badass MT utility to make them worth over taking WAR/New Tank in 4.0

I don't have a source on me but I do recall Yoshi-P atleast stating how he sees WAR as the OT-Multi-skill tank handling the mechanics MT don't and focusing on dealing damage and tanking packs of mobs. And SCH's toolkit speaks for itself, It's not about spamming heals but about preventing the damage before it happens with shields, has emergency burst heals and an insane DPS kit.

The ratio argument is killing me, just like how we're 'missing' a str based DPS to make everything even. Completely forgetting the next expansion will ruin your OCD 'ratio' again.

I don't think we WON'T get Samurai in Stormblood, I just think the next reveal will be Blue Mage as per the hint on Yoshi P's shirt. I can see why they wouldn't want to add a new Healing Class when our current three are already struggling to find balance and identity with one another. I imagine that's a big reason Red Mage is going to be DPS. I could see Blue Mage being DPS, with Samurai as a tank. Conversely, I think I wouldn't mind if Blue Mage was a Tank, and Samurai was a DPS.

I don't understand how anyone who's ever played any of the final fantasy games can assume that the Lady in Red is a Dancer.

From many of the old final fantasy games, they were mainly support classes, healing and causing status affects to the enemy party. I think in once of the games the Dancer job bore daggers as its weapon.

I've never heard of or seen a Dancer in the final fantasy games showing so much prowess in Martial Arts, with powerful kicks, formidable defense with blocking and parrying, high movement speeds, and the stances she held.

Can someone explain why they look at her and see Dancer? and please don't say because she's a woman, wearing revealing clothing, and she's moving around.

Exactly, they're so desperate for dancer that apparently they're willing to accept the idea of a dancer being virtually indistinguishable from a monk.

The woman in red is a monk, period.

Having never played a FF game with Dancer in it, and knowing virtually nothing about Martial Arts or even the Monk Class (never leveled it to cap), and under the assumption that Ala Mhigo would have likely had more than -1- class associated to it as a nation, and with the idea of a possible similarity in two or more classes in combat style, but diverging down two separate paths or disciplines, I can easily see the woman in red as a, 'Dancer,' with the term, 'Dancer,' applying to a set of martial arts that are divergent to Monk, but similar in dress and weapon selection. Difference between Kung Fu and Tai Chi I suppose, is the analogy I'm making. They're both a form of martial art involving unarmed combat. But they're also extremely different.

For a more in-game analogy, its like the difference between White Mage and Black Mage, to me. Someone else may go, "I don't understand why people think that person is a White Mage, they're both Mages!"
